    “Cheers-Worthy” is a great idea and I’m glad you guys have made it a series.
    Other commenters beat me to recommending the Sabaton song, “Unkillable Soldier,” but I’ll just add my name to the list. Their song rocks and decently pays tribute to the man himself.
    On that theme, will you guys do a Cheers-worthy episode for Audie Murphy?

    I have been actively avoiding the high pace, lots of sound, brain rot content and steering toward more educational stuff that I can think on. I love this. thank you for bringing good into the light, instead of pushing into the algorithm and just shooting for numbers.

    Powers invented the airplane bottle
    Powers was one of my first whiskeys. Had a sip with my grandfather before he passed. He was a Powers and loved to let everyone know.

    I remember when I was 16 I joined the Royal Air Force and after completing basic training I went off to train to be a Medic, and somehow Adrian Carton de Wiart came up in conversation during one of the lessons about GSW treatment and Shrapnel wounds and all of us were just howling with laughter at the absolute mad man. Been stuck in my memory for 20 years

    Rex, history is often neglected. It awesome to see you find a way to highlight your love of history, bridge to knowledge of whiskey, and bridge it to a new audience. Similar to Sabaton, you help people connect with real superheroes (vs. MCU or DC), deal with their humanity, and give application. Well done!

    Quite a departure from this channel's usual content; good job, Rex. As for de Wiart, he was a piece of his class and times. A proper British Officer of his era did his duty, and despised emotion in their professional lives, good on him he had a human side, unlike dear old Monty.

    When we talk about an Unkillabel Soldier, there are two other names who instantly came to mind. One is Rasputin. The other might actually be Cheers-Worthy. Leo Major was a Canadian soldier during World War II and the Korean war. His most impressive feat is that during World War II he managed to liberate an entire town on his own in a single night.

    Desmond Doss (yeah, I've been watching clips from Hacksaw Ridge). What he did during WWII was nothing short of heroic, earning him an Medal of Honor. Based on his religious convictions, I imagine he was a teetotaler, but he deserves the recognition.

    Rex, I am glad you did. As a soldier and a historian, I have also found Lieutenant General Carto de Wiart a fascinating and courageous individual. His exploits are legendary in the Royal Army and he is well respected and idolized to this day. I have served with many of our British Allies and they quote and reference him frequently. Cheers!

    Seeing Adrian Carton de Wiarts wife's name makes me wonder if that is where The Animaniacs got the joke for Dot's name. Several episodes she declares her full name to be "Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo Besca III" Always fun piecing things like that together.

    Have you thought about doing James Doohan (yes, Scotty from Star Trek).....joined the Canadian Army, went to war, was wounded at Juno Beach (Normandy), lost a couple of fingers, was shot in the chest, but the bullet impacted a cigarette case that his brother had given him and he kept it in front of his heart (Lucky!).... and he did have an affectation for Scotch! But there are many Canadians who were exceptional during the wars, they're not hard to find!

    I’d like to suggest Saigo Takamori for a cheers-worthy badass. A man of character and devotion, he helped create modern Japan, led the last major rebellion against said government (its complicated) and is sometimes referred to as “the last true samurai.”
