I think you just need time. Like with most games, it's going to take a lot of time to get souls. It's not going to take a few days. It can take up to 4-6 months to get 50-60k souls. Do 1 hour and 3 hour quests. Login and get all of the daily trials, and lastly, do challenges. Eventually you'll see it pay off. Keep going though 👍
do the towers, for shao kahn's tower you get souls every 10 levels and for twisted tower and the fatal version of it you can randomly get souls even if you lose so make sure to do it
also once you're about to sleep go do 8 or 12 hour quests besides getting some souls youll also get to level up your renown if you do it a couple of times and leveling up your renown gives you souls most of the time
