Even though one hour is the best, would you say that 4 hour quests are okay enough? Obviously not everyone has the time in their day to check their phone and keep repeating one hour quests. It sounds good at first, especially at work, when it's not exactly a smart idea to pull your phone out and ignore your job.
4 hour quests are a good alternative. Absolutely. I understand not everyone has time to check for every day, so 4 hours is the closest to a full amount.

It isn't really worth it. Standard maxed out level 60 gold characters can't reach level 200. One can reach about level 150 on auto play, but it becomes really hard above that. It's almost impossible to get fusion X on diamonds.

You need to do the next quest back to back unlocking the last ones, then it takes you to the next tower. Once you arrive to the next tower, keep unlocking 1 by 1.

It has no sense doin 1h Quest, i forgot it all time i just do 24h quests and still make 10-15k souls per month

8 Hour Quests or 12 Hour Quests can help you. Same goes to office workers as well like me. If you are in a meeting or presentation etc, Busy driving or travelling go for longer quests. Try to play the challenges and towers during Holidays. Sometimes there is a lot of work at the office and i can't open my phone when others are beside me so i go for 8 hour Quests.
