- Matt breaks down the 2024 Wimbledon draw and struggles to break the news that our beloved co-host has passed away just before what would have been his 7th Wimbledon as Co-Host of Coffee Break Tennis.
Mr. Goat was born in 2013 and named Oatis, Matt soon nicknamed him Mr. Oats, and by 2017 he was known around the world as Mr. Goat "The Talking Tennis Cat". Mr. Goat was beloved by many, online and in the real world as well. At the local vet Mr. Goat was known as Mr. Oatis and loved by the whole staff. Mr. Goat was unusually affectionate and loved all people, even the people at the vet who saw more and more of him the last couple years unfortunately. Mr. Goat's passion was Coffee Break Tennis but his favorite past time of all was being walked on his leash outside in the big CBT studios nature preserve!! Mr. Goat loved everyone who watched CBT and enjoyed reading comments, especially the ones about him.
Mr. Goat has stated in his will that he leaves the "Goat Boat" to Mrs. Cat and his house in southern Germany to Matt. Mr. Goat also left his vast collection of "Sexy Feline Magazine" to Pete and Mark Davis.

Matt, we're with you! I, 1% Murray fan has been a CBT viewer since early June 2017, watching you predict Fed winning that title. And apart from your own brilliance on tennis analytics, jokes, singing, playing guitar and even eloquently tossing your freaking script into a bin with your racquet, Mr.Goat has always been one of the reasons I came back and waited for your new videos.
I must say that Mr.Goat will be DEARLY missed. I remember asking you in the comments during this FO to bring Mr.Goat more often to the show. It's as if I felt that we haven't got to have him with us for long.
After seeing you being inactive after FO on X/Twitter during Wimbledon(!!!) I felt that something terrible happened. I thought "Matt is inactive during Wimbledon, I thought it could only happen if WW3 started, and still I would expect Matt to post his predictions while being in a mask surrounded by radioactive waste...". But here we are.
I hope you can have a nice little portrait of Mr.Goat hanging near that Fedal picture on your wall, I think he deserves eternal commemoration as a symbol of this show.
Apart from this, I wanna let you know that I immensely enjoy you being you in these shows and I wish that more people find your show since it is the best tennis show on YT by a mile, no offense to other creators (maybe Roddick's new channel is on par but this is it).
Matt, maybe you can create an account on Buy Me a Coffee or other similar platforms so we can help you get more sweets for your new cat and help you to do shows more frequently?
I hope Mrs.Cat (did I say it right?) can be a good cat for you and can carry Mr.Goat's legacy with the same honour he did (and I hope no broken Fed cups this time!).

Very touched. When I discovered your show, your special duo relationship really caught my attention. My happiest days were also with a special relationship like that: a stray dog I brcame friends with and for 11 yrs we followed each other everywhere, we went together to live in the Pyrenees mountais in '17 to write a book, she patiently by my side, and like clockwork she'd take me on our walks... she passed last year just as I finished first draft, took me that far, and now continuing without her as best I can, but will ALWAYS remember... ❤ Hang in there, Matt!🌅

Truly sorry to hear about Mr Goats passing Matt. Your show is always something I look forward to. It may sound dumb but I feel like you're my friend since I've watched CBT for all these years, laugh at the inside jokes and of course MR Goat was part of it. So my deepest condolences, I'm not much of a pet person but my wife is and it wasn't pretty when her parents dog passed, so I understand the sadness. Big hug from Mexico.

Sorry for your loss i know how paintfull this is i lost my long time friend a poodle 14 year have a perfect life whole family adore him and last year i must put him down my vet said he have big tumor and probably have 3-6 month of life but in severe paints😢 and i have to put him to sleep 😢😢 Max RIP
