I have a 2021 KX250 and a 1996 KX250 with plenty of upgrades. That '96 KX has a different relationship. It's a different emotion as it's from a different era and takes me back to my childhood when I had my first Kawasaki - an 82 KX80
Great video, thanks for sharing! The pipe looks to be a low end/SX model that's why it's lacking on top. With some imagination it could be a lil' better.
@@emexduzentos aprilia’s bike would have next to no bottom end, I believe Steve Clithroe has ticked the boxes on this bike he’s the engine builder I’m the rider. You can’t have power everywhere and this is a very good all rounder for motocross not for road where bottom end / mind counts for a lot. Let me know what bike has 60 bhp but would actually pull you out of a sandy turn too then i’l be on the same page. We could find more too but that would compromise the nice mid it has..
@@LetsTorqueBikes Back in 1985, before PV times, Gilera's NX250 had 3hp more than the Honda CR250 with the ATAC system (which would be about 5hp if it was used in the NX's engine). You can also check 1975 world 250GP champion Harry Everts's Puch MC250. But I know it's much easier buying parts instead of thinking as the japs want us to do.

Didn't expect the 250 to be that much quicker than the 500s!
Me either bud! I think if it was a more open hilly track the times would be much closer
Jeremy McGrath always liked the steel CR250s over the aluminum ones
@@jonathanrice-exec11 many talk about it as there best bike ever! Awesome all rounder
@@LetsTorqueBikes For sure! My dad's owned his '93 CR250 since '95. Great bikes and sound amazing

@@emexduzentos very true mate but if you put more up top you lose some down low just depends where you like it 👊
@@LetsTorqueBikes There ways to have both
@@emexduzentos very interested! How would you gain in both areas on a bike that’s already at an unreal standard engine wise?
