Excellent video that was a lot of good information Wandering if you can do a video on advertising What’s the best way? And what sources works well? Thanks
Don't be sorry bro for rambling on I do it too lol. But ever since I stumbled on your videos it re-inspired to try dipping since I was very young and now I'm 32. First hydro dip today... Pink sugar skulls for my clippers. Custom back plate on it.she loves it came out great. Thanks
This is an off topic question but ... say I messed up a dip..(mostly doing carbon fiber print) and I want to redo the entire thing. Can I just base coat over the Pre existing dip or do I have to sand it off back down to base coat ?? I’ve been sanding it down every time..was wondering if that was completely necessary?
Normally you want to scuff it up with a red scotch brite pad or 400-600 grit sandpaper and then re-base it if you mess up a dip. You dont have to take all the print off, just scuff up the base.
Just found your videos tonight....on 6th one here. Thanks to you I do NOT want to start my own hydro biz, lol.LOTS more work than I invisioned. You ARE a pro!👍But,I love bulldogs.Where can I get one of those stickers for my garage,if possible?Thank You for sharing your knowledge!!Back to binge watching and dreaming.Stay Safe!!
In your opinion, how durable is this process? How long would you expect it to last on something that gets handled very frequently? Thanks! Just found your channel and subbed. :)
This is a very durable process if its done CORRECTLY. This is exactly the same as a cars exterior paint job. If you handle this very frequently, then you should be able to have it last quite a long time still.
I've heard from a few people that a FFL license is required to dip firearms. Is this true? What about if parts are disassembled by the customer and brought in?
You can be told to use $0.05 per square inch but you need to make sure your making money at that. Never take someones word on something like that cause they dont know your material costs, overhead and everything. You really need to make sure your profitable and not just "thinking you are cause someone told me to use 50 cents a square inch".
Don't be a busy broke fool , quote what you want for the job and if the customer doesn't want to pay it let them walk . There is ZERO point just turning money over you NEED profit to keep going and expand. One way to judge your pricing is if you get 100% of the quotes accepted you are to cheap, if you only get 40%- 50% you are to expensive, try for 70% . Also new people to ANY business DO NOT fall for the carrot danglers, you know the type - " if you do this one job cheap I will bring you all my trade " . Tell them you bring me all your trade and I will work something out for future work
Well when you run a business you can't just NOT accept phone calls or mute them all day. Normal business has to keep going on even while we are videoing as well.
@@LiquidConceptsUSA wasn’t trolling you , I really enjoy watching your content and I m about to start hydro dipping myself today . And i understand It’s your business , I just I find the phone calls in every video spoils otherwise good viewing .
@@LiquidConceptsUSA That I think is a given. No one needs to make a video about price being many factors. My 10 year old knows that. I too run a business and get asked this question many times. However, I can explain it in great detail how to come to a selling price.
@@LiquidConceptsUSA For example, in my line of business it is the industry the cost is 3x COGs. The only trick to it is then having an accurate COGs breakdown. So you could have completed your video in the title alone….or just as you stated in your reply to me “ price is based on many factors…….”
We use automotive paint when we hydro, we’ve used matrix to ppg also the clear is a big factor. A good quality clear goes along ways
Very true!
Thank you for your time.
My pleasure!
Thanks Brian, I appreciate hearing what you had to say. You motivated me to price my business more appropriately.

I guess the bulldog is that company's mascot as the cabinet came that way.

What printer do y'all use for hydro dipping films?
A very big one!

Another good weekly video would be how to find and bring in customers, and advertising.
Great suggestion!

@@LiquidConceptsUSA does printing the film require a special ink or does it use regular ink jet?
@@biosoftrobotics yes everything we use is a proprietary system
I've heard from a few people that a FFL license is required to dip firearms. Is this true? What about if parts are disassembled by the customer and brought in?
Yes you do need to have an FFL to dip serialized items for firearms.
Also depends on which state you live in and city. Labor rates are different all over the US.
This is very true! You will have to take into account your overhead expenses such as labor
@@LiquidConceptsUSA bro, labor is not an overhead...
You should do some live feeds
Yes we are planning on doing those here shortly! We have quite a bit planned for you guys!
how much for wheels one pcs ?
It all depends on the wheel, what exactly you want done and how much time it will take for us to do the job.
I was told to figure on 50¢ a square inch and then go from there.

I totally understand and I still have to adjust my cost....but when I first started that was a base I went with. Thanks.
That’s what we do. It’s a good base price and we add things like service fees if we need to take something apart.

So the question remains unanswered “ How to price out your job”. A lot of talk and not much said.
Pricing is based on many factors. Size of job ,prep work, materials, time, etc. There is no cut and dried price list. Hope that helps.
