Visiting Fort Jefferson on Dry Tortuga NP

On this episode I visited Fort Jefferson with my wife. We were amazed at the size of the fort and the engineering that went into its construction. We walked the Third Level, which was the top walkway of the fort. This is where all of the bombarding iron was found. It was incredible to see how difficult it would have been to eek out a living in such a harsh environment, even in the tropics.
