    I live in Orca country - Puget Sound, WA and the Orcas are magnificent to see in the wild!
    Here in Washington State we have three subtypes of killer whales (the largest member of the dolphin family), the Southern Resident Killer Whales, Bigg’s Killer Whales, and Offshore Killer Whales. the Southern Resident Killer Whales are comprised of three distinct pods...J Pod, K Pod and L Pod.
    The Southern Residents generally inhabit the waters of Northern California to British Columbia. J Pod tends to stick around the Salish Sea in winter while K Pod and L Pod travel to Northern California.
    Traditionally the summer months have seen them thriving in Puget Sound, with all three pods meeting in a celebratory superpod to reconnect and feast on Chinook salmon.
    Enjoy watching the Orcas! In the wild, they truly are a sight to behold!

    I swim a lot in the ocean here in So Cal H.B. , seeing a seal swim by you at first is freaky enough , but if i happen to run into Killer Whales in H.B. while i'm swimming , i'll try my hardest not to shit in the water in the event that the frightening action might piss them off.

    • @tbone3972
      @tbone3972 4 месяца назад

      Their true name is called “Orca”. I think they call them killer whales is because of their natural colors black & white (like old prison uniforms) for most prisoners who likes to kill.
