    Play the entire tune first the way it’s meant to be played, then break it down. It’s a more effective teaching style.

      Thanks for the feedback that’s my usual format but on this one I allow the learner to check out the source recording. In many ways this can be a more authentic folk learning experience

      I totally agree, that is the one REALLY annoying thing about these videos. You always want to show the student what it is they are about to learn before teaching them, that is a sound pedagogical principle at the root of all modern teaching techniques. Other than that, I think this guy is a bit of fresh air, love the focus on bluegrass and country.

    Could you possibly do a lesson on music for a new found harmonium recently found a video of someone doing it on diatonic and I wanna learn it now

    i cant play tongue block, is it possible to play lip purse style

      Yeh it’s fine, you’ll lose the splits and slaps of course but you can do some pucker trickery like tongue articulations and the bends will probably be easier. This quite a hard tune to play bending wise with a tongue block
