One of the things I love about TXT that I don't think many people talk about is how well they integrate the horror aspects that clasic fairytales have on spades into the the creative direction of their groups (songs, music videos and everything in between)

I 100% agree on the line distribution part. It should be common knowledge that the better vocalist or person who fits the song the most should have the most lines in a song. Although I do wish Beomgyu had more parts in songs, I’ve seen people complain when he has only a three second difference with one of the members. They definitely could’ve given him more lines in songs like HEA tho
This video was so good! I pretty much agree with everything, and I’m so happy that you spoke about people babying Beomgyu. Another thing I would like to add is that Beomgyu is often watered down to the comedic relief of the group which frustrates me a lot because he has struggled in the past because people expected him to be the mood maker. Moas are a good fandom, but we need to remember to treat the boys as human beings and not as objects with assigned personalities because the boys have made it clear over the years that they are more than what they are shown as on the screen.

I feel like it’s wired into a lot of the fandom’s minds to sexualise someone who acts more mature or in the case of Taehyun(as well as plenty of other artists), more stereotypically masculine out the gate. A good example would be ATEEZ’s Jongho and EXO’s Kai.
21:13 Believe me, as someone who has been a K-pop fan since 2013, MOAs, Starlights(VIXX fans), and CARAT(Seventeen fans), are the safest fandoms I’ve been in. Not saying that they don’t have their moments, but they are very much safer fandoms to be in, especially as a blk K-pop fan.

I agree so much with the 2nd opinion about how kpop stans treat txt's popularity. I've seen numerous people say thursday's child or freefall was a bad/mid album but also the same ones beg for kpop to become great again. Those two albums had one of the greatest songs of their discography. I feel like a lot of them only listen to the lead single. This is one of the reasons I don't engage with kpop contents anymore (except my tubatu 💙)
minisode 2 is literally my fav album, it got me more interested on txt as i was starting to stan them and also made me be beomgyu biased, i also felt the songs so bad like they gave me the feels and chills.... people just don’t have taste lol, they just casual fans, i dislike that about tiktok

GBGB is a banger and it always will be along with the releases after that. people normalizing that a song only blows up when its on tiktok is trash. I kinda noticed that moas who stanned txt from tiktok are only temporary. The songs from txt that get the most attention are the ones on tiktok and if we look at their current releases (chikai or minisode 3) it got way less attention, ex. only 1.2m views for chikai after a day, even though MOAS were going crazy about the release date and wanted everyone to stream?
I remember Moas were telling everyone to stream chikai and support txt but now that it released, no ones supporting. No Moas are advertising chikai and there are barely any yt videos on chikai (ex. line distributions etc.) It really hurts to see txt not getting as much attention as they deserve as even for their shows like to:do or t-time they dont get a lot of views. If their videos dont get as much attention, other show-channels wont want to have txt on their show and they will get less promotions as a group (ex. teenvogue, buzzfeed and more.)

Thank you so much for the video, everytime I look at the members i cannot imagine the stress they're going through, we have to address actual problems with the fandom to find solutions.
I also cannot stand some of those solo yeonjun and soobin stans that be hating on the other members for the smallest details, just in the past week they found ways to try canceling and hating on 2 other members, it's unbelievable!
1) I don't have tik tok or twitter (keep away from all toxicity) but I loved the song Anti romantic. The melody is so addictive, I just can't get it outta my head.
2) I pity those who had not listened to TXT songs. They are such master pieces. Being with them since before their debut, I have come to love their way of expressing themselves with songs like Maze in the mirror, Nap of star, Angel or Demon, Ghosting, Way Home, Can't you see me, We lost the summer, Drama, Frost, Farewell Neverland, Opening sequence, Lonely boy, Miracle & Growing pain. People are really missing out!
3) Honestly, people can sometimes be so annoying about Beomgyu being called hyung line. Soobin and Beomgyu literally have 3 months difference in their birthday. Almost half a year Soobin and Beomgyu spent as same aged!! Like right now, Beomgyu & Soobin both are 23 as Soobs has not celebrated his birthday yet! This pushing of Soobin being hyung while Beomgyu being Maknae is ridiculous!!
4) No offense but for sexualization, I genuinely think Yeonjun is the one who gets sexualized the most but I guess he doesn't mind it much but Taehyun is very uncomfortable with it which is why it stands out and even more gross is, people don't see the problem with it!!
5) I have to agree with you. Though I am army myself, I know the sh*t they do. But the only reason I never stopped being one is coz I got into kpop coz of BTS & I love BTS more than I hate the toxic fans. I couldn't do the same for Skz as I started listening to Skz coz of Bangchan who I respected and I really like the grp and the members but Stay is pretty much same as Armies and Blinks so I just can't. I was a casual listener of NJ but I stopped being that as well when I saw how devious MHJ was and how vile and disgusting bunnies were. Compared to the things I have seen with other fandom, I have to agree Moas are much better. Till now I have not seen moas do anything as vile. Other than Moas, I am atiny. I love TXT & Ateez. I wish you would one day explore them too. They are too underrated I feel.

I pretty much agree with most except the roles thingy. I think txt doesn't need roles. Because it would create issues to distribute. Yeonjun would have 2 positions. Giving positions to others would be pretty hard. I remember wanting to give probable roles for txt, but it was hard for me. Not having roles kind of makes them look unique

Personally I think people just accepted him as Maknae subconsciously, cuz when they debuted as you said only YJ and SB were legal age. So everyone just went , 2 Hyung and 3 Maknae. So now everyone is just wired like that "oh he is maknae". Basically ig moas gaslighted each other into believing this.

When it comes to people saying that GBGB was too dark for TXT, id argue (i almost said ar-GYU to be funny but its not😢) that half of TDC:Eternity's album was way darker. PUMA is obviously darker but so is CYSM and literally the Eternally M/V. A dead Yeonjun appears twice in that M/V alone, yet GBGB is "too dark" for TXT💀. These people probably only know TXT for Crown and Cat & Dog and think that they just stayed with that conceot for 5 years.

i feel like the main citizens of moaville who actually treat taehyun with basic respect are solomons. not to generalize (bc this ofc doesn’t apply to everyone), but i notice that a lot of moas feel comfortable having a perception of him that allows them to either ignore him, have animosity towards him, or like you said; sexualize the hell out of him… and it’s strange to say the least. what i can’t understand even more is how when anyone says anything in defense of him they get written off as “overreacting” like ???? so thank you for saying that opinion so loud and honestly, bc a lot of things regarding him get glossed over when they shouldn’t :/

Honestly I didn't like GBGB at first it wasn't my vibe but now like that is a bomb ass song if GBGB comes on while I'm driving I'm going full volume my ears might be bleeding but my soul is in heaven and don't even get me started on the rest of the ep. The idea that Temptation could be a bad album without Tinnitus is wild because personally Tinnitus is not in my top 3 from that album like I love it and its amazing but have y'all heard Farewell Neverland.
Disclaimer I'm not trying to hate on anyone who likes to do the stuff in this section or anything I'm just venting some feelings because I genuinely don't like this side of K-pop fans in general but specifically the parts of Moa i have seen this with.
I think one thing that I dislike about moa in general is the shipping that happens specifically Yeonjun with Soobin and Beomgyu with Taehyun I just find it so weird that you can't find a normal interaction between some of the members without people going "OMG ITS SO OBVIOUS THAT THEIR IN LOVE!!!!!
@@racoontxt3123 I agree sm, I feel like some shippers forget that Yeonbin or Taegyu are not fixed ships in the group, you legit have also Soogyu and Tyunning’s friendships, Taejun’s longtime closeness, Taebin’s strong trust in one another, the list goes on and on. It’s kinda silly to argue that this one specific ship is real or in love with one another cuz that’s not our business and they could also be seeing someone else at the moment. 2. You are also right. Social media popularity has been integral to TXT since the beginning. You notice it immediately when thinking about Blue Hour. That song blew up, on twt. Everyone was talking about it plus the song got used as a meme for the Exo Chanyeol allegations at the time (all false ofc) which also made them blow up more. Then 0x1 came out and LoserLover. Which were both during the pandemic (as was blue hour but i digress) Social media virality has been up with them since the beginning. (I have my gripes with minisode 2 but that's a conversation for another day)
The pandemic affected them and thier relationship with local kpop fans and i'm glad it was brought up.
3. This argument baffles me because txt has always been dark. Like.........cant you see me is like right there.the metaphors and symbolism go crazy in that music video like hello. I'd go as far as to say Crown is dark but not as explicitly so. Now i will say I find GBGB to be one of their weaker songs and eras in general, but that's just my opinion.
3. I didn't know their team was given away...I didn't know what was happening. I've had TXT on my radar since debut, i'm an army. So by technical standards I could be considered a pre-debut moa, officially i didn't call myself a Moa until cysm era. I fell in love with them in between runaway and cysm, that comeback just made me fall deeply in love with them and solidified them as my ults. So I was used to following their story. Imagine my surprise when we start to not get lore videos anymore. And any semblance of lore becomes that much smaller. I hate when companies do this. I'm not surprised that it happened, I'm a sm group lover they do this shit ALLLLLLL the time, but I hate To get sooo invested in your lore just referred them to say “fuck you” and not even try anymore, yall can at least try to commit until they start hitting up the military or something.
4. I justttt got to see them for Promise, As fun as I had (Growing pains LIVE??? I'm surprised my throat didn't give out from the screaming I did) I felt like she was missing something.
5. I…….hate that they don't utilize the fact that they aren't set in their positions since Crown and Runaway. I would have liked a bit more experimentation, they could have ran wild with it but at the same time…..this is hybe. Their training is…..lacking for me. As someone who doesn't know anything about singing i know that all of their groups could be significantly better if they stopped pissing me off with making them sing higher than their range (I'm an army, I have the same argument for them too) But at the end of the day they kinda do have set positions, can I name them? Hell no I never officially understood what positions were except leader and visual. But I believe they have had them since Blue hour.
6. Beomgyu has said he's a hyung? Didn't he? Why are we fighting about this? He's a hyung. I don't have the time for this. Childishness is a silly estimation for who is a hyung bc everyone has different personalities. Give it a rest. Isn't he a little brother? 7. I….noticed this since the minute he started getting buffer. Coupled that with his personality? (Granted they aren't a “sexy group” and never have been, they are pretty not sexy)
Don't piss me off about Kai,as my bias I think he deserves to express his sexuality as Soobin and Yeonjun do. And I'm not talking about who he would like to have sex with. One day I was casually watching TikTok when I saw a video of a taegyu account, and the video was saying something like “who do you think it’s more omega and Alfa between tae and beom?” And then they proceeded to put some photos were beomgyu looked so cute and tiny and then some photos of tae where he looked so masculine and with a bad boy vibe and I was shocked and I get so mad ‘cause I personally don’t have a problem with shipping, my problem it’s when people affirm its true only because they like to fetishize and objectify real people for their mere entertainment, forcing them to fulfill their homosexual stereotypes in the most heteronormative way (because as a person from the lgbt community it also bothers me the fact that there always has to be one who represents the female role and another who is the alpha male) the point is that I left comments saying that they couldn't be fetishizing real people and they deleted them xd

To touch more on the topic of people babying Kai I don’t think it’s okay for people to baby a grown man, in fact I find it weird but unfortunately this is what happens when the company markets him as “cute maknae”. This might be a bit controversial but it is also the idol’s responsibility as well. I don’t think people should treat him like a child, and I’m not saying he acts like one either (as you’ve mentioned some people just do things for the camera) but I can’t help but feel like part of this is also because Kai plays into. Aegyo is a part of his culture and something I’ll never truly understand but I feel like he will regret doing it so much in the future when he truly will want to be looked at through a mature lens but because of fans ignorance, the company labeling him, and his own actions it will be a bit difficult to break away from that image. Also I noticed something quite interesting which is a result of people infantilizing Kai- it’s that he has the opportunity to talk to or film videos with girls and nobody bats an eye. From what I’ve seen- like when he did the challenge with Natty, it’s always “my favorite duo” or “look at Kai making friends” or whatever but let that be Yeonjun or Taehyun and it’s a different story. I don’t know- I just feel like being labeled and seen as the maknae is both a blessing and a curse.
No I understand what you mean. I feel like 2024 has been a turning point for Kai because he threw out a lot of his old hoodies and plushies that he kept for years, he’s been changing up his fashion a lot too, and he’s working out on a regular basis too, plus I noticed that since like late April and May of this year he’s been doing less aegyo too. I feel like him also taking the lead in Growing Pain slowly made people realize he is in fact an adult and since then I think the issue of him being infantilized is slightly getting better but we’re not there yet to a point where he’s exempted from it. And as for your last point (sorry if my reply sounds more like a rant haha), I can only say good for Kai that nobody jumps to the conclusion he’s going to date any female idol he interacts with, but who knows how long this luck will last (and holy fuck it’s crazy for Taejun when they’re with girls 💀)

Honestly I think that Kai plays into it because he is not comfortable with the amount of sexualization that idols undergo, especially since he’s able to witness it through how fans treat yeonjun and taehyun. It’s well known that Kai isn’t very comfortable showing his body or performing more overtly sexual, so I think in order to evade this desire from fans he chooses to play into the infantilization aspect, which works especially well for him since he is the maknae and debuted at such a young age. And since there’s really only two options that idols can play into, cute or sexy, he chooses cute. I hope the expectations for him don’t shift to needing to be more sexual as he gets older, but I also hope that fans can accept that he is a grown man and not a child anymore
