Every faction in vanilla Total Warhammer is an Artillery faction, it's so silly.
I can confirm, Ogre gun lines are probably the most wonderfully broken thing I've ever experienced in a Total War game. Armies of Nurgle in particular are basically defenceless against the volleys from Leadbelchers, Ironblasters, and Ogre Pistols!
@candyman They deal armor piercing damage but they don't go through enemies to hit the back lines like leadbelchers or artillery.

Having a front line of tanky ranged weaponry is always an effective tactic. Especially in TF2, with 5 heavies on the payload
I think this was the doomstack I was most excited to see when I checked out the Ogre roster.

You are missing the hunter trait which gives 20% range dmg for Leadbelchers
then it wouldnt be 19 Leadbelchers

There is actually an ogre Big name that gives leadbelchers, and the two artillery units 20% more missile strength. Found it on an Hunter. The requirement to unlock it is "fight with an leadbelcher unit in the army" so 5 of those big boi names and enjoy +100% missile strength lol
ya... its super sad he didn't include it. I got one of them with just 5 leadbelchers and its so nasty

They already instantly kill infantry so you dont really need more than one for the hero utility, more leadbelchers is going to give more widespread dakka so you dont get overrun

Warplock Jezzails have always had a Reload animation. Poison wind mortars too.
@@PoorManatee6197 Which? They've had reloads since game 1. They shoot, reload, sit until their shoot timer is up. In fact their reload animation serves as the hard cap for their shooting speed and always has. Reload animations have been baked into the core mechanics of the series since day 1

It kinda irritates me how few buffs there are to leadbelchers: Ogre all range stacks seems like such a neat concept
You can get a big name on tyrants and hunters that gives 20% missile damage to leadbelchers the scrap launcher and iron blasters.
Yeah it isn't just this unit, many units in this game suffer from a lack of research or lord skill buffs. Think Tzar guard get one technology: +5 leadership. I kid you not, that is it. For a unit that never breaks anyway, it's dogshit.

What they did to red tree , research and blue tree is crime worthy.
Look at Tzeentch research the only way to improve your horrors in research is ... locked super late +25% ammunition.
All that looks like clown fiesta compared to research from WH2.
Unless they nerf WH2 races into ground I expect shit going real. Also they have to nerf WH2 lords red tree ... but instead they should buff red tree of WH3 lords.

Are they OP though? Playing legendary Skrag and my gorgers (fully upgraded, final rank, all lord-buffs) are the unit type that gets the most hurt every fight.
@@maelos61 Apparently together with Leadbelchers are the most OP units in their roster. Enough for forcing Turin to put a 1 unit limit for each in his tournament
@@TheUrobolos Hmmm, I suppose the stalk might make them pretty hard to deal with in multiplayer. Half gorgers, half leadbelchers would essentially have you able to outrange and outgun most troops and just creep on closer to pounce with your gorgers. Seems more useful for normal land battles than anything else though.
@@maelos61 Unbrekable + Stalks is a very powerfull combo. In various testing gorgers destroyed pretty much any kind of infantry that should had counter them. Also dont forget Skrag have massive heals for them

Clearly, the blood fountains are where all the blood from playthroughs with that setting turned off (or lacking the DLC entirely) goes. Considering they could just make the blood DLC free without bumping up the age rating, the fountains likely aren’t drying up anytime soon.

I didnt know this till now but technically you can give leadbelchers a buff with a big name from an ogre hunter. About 20%

Is it just me or are unit buffs from technology and red line(I know all of them are red now, you know what I mean) incredibly lackluster in WHIII? You can especially see that in Okoii vids when before there were like 5 or 6 or even more, yet now it's 3 at best.
Yeah it feels like tech and skill trees are back to WH1 levels. The team that made all the DLC and updates for WH2 and the team that made WH3 are different, and it feels like they really just weren't communicating. There are things that were fixed 3 years ago in WH2 that aren't fixed in WH3.
@@N0ahface Yep, there's multiple things in the game that prove that's the case. On release day I had a confident lord in my recruit pool and the trait's buff is +2 leadership, when it was upped to +4 years ago in WH2 because +2 is just an inferior disciplined.

THEY ARE EXCLUDED from 2nd part of already pitiful bonus - so you only get 12 armor ... so fucking OP for 3 points.
But red tree for "Chyna number ONE" and "Russia loves peace Kislev" are great so are tech bonuses.
So glad Ogres are good else I wouldn't have fun dumpstering Chinese and Russians left and right.
@@markusala-turkia3079 yeah literally they nerfed everything they could. Also look at weapon damage of big monsters - it has been nerfed by roughly 30%. Such beast of Nurgle literally takes days to munch one peasant unit.
