@@OkieAuto no you are correct. Drill out 4.7 mounts and a plate to push the trans mount back a bit. Thats for mounting with an nv3500. Doing it to a 2002 dakota
My son and I are going to do a 2006 Chevy 2500 series 6 liter LS engine and transmission swap in a 99 Ram. I have a few questions if don't mine answering. What headers and motor frame mounts did you use? Did you have any clearance issues with the oil pan? Was you able to use the stock radiator and transmission cooler? We basically want to drop the engine and trans in its stock configuration just to get it going. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
The motor mounts where 350 solid mounts off eBay you will also need the 3" offset plates, the headers where for a trans-am but the control arm mounts got in the way unless you bend them and put the motor as far back as possible, we use the stock dodge rad and cooler
I would like to know what long tubes fit too lol. When I did mine I tried a couple but ended up with speed engineers mid length headers. No long tube I tried would clear the lower control arm perch. I’m turbo now though but I would still be interested to know what did fit.
I believe you can use the stock 4.7 mounts with verrry little modification..like just slotting the existing holes
There's a few ls swapped rams but there is only maybe one that describes the process
Ya I had my head up my ass I guess I need to look before making claims lol

What mounts did you use? On the engine and trans? Is that a 4l60?
They are sbc solid mount with 3" offset plate and a stock trans mount yes 4l60
Did you have to make new holes on the cross member for the trans mount?
How did you get the shift linkage to work plzzzz help I'm ls swapping mine tooo and im working on the shift linkage
Didn't use the stock shifter truck was a manual he was gonna use a aftermarket shifter
Im doing the HEMI swap in mine..
Hell yeah I seen the new thing is hellcat swapping them! too expensive for me
@OkieAuto hell cat would be..but a 400hp 5.7 (with a tune its even more hp) connected to the Oem auto trans isn't expensive at all..
Which drive shaft did you use?
Add the factory Dodge one Shortened With the 4L60 slip slip yoke
What part of Oklahoma y'all from and do you have a Facebook I can follow? I'm from Oklahoma too
What kind of car is that that u took the engine from

Sorry it took me so long I will try to find out the name of them but we had the engine as far back as we could and still had to dent the tubes
Or what liter ?
5 3l
6.0 ls ?
No 5.3l
Man nice work but the cheby engine in the ram.. I’d rather see a hemi or anything dodge it could even be the 3.6 lol
If it makes you feel any better it ain’t in there no more lol he pulled the ls and put it in a different car
