Plz update on the swap, I'm doing the same with my 96 and I'm lost, I want my gauges, ac, everything to work and idk what to do with a wiring harness, that's the one thing I'm afraid of
I just wanted to say, thank you!! I watched your video's & did a complete LS swap on my 1995 k1500 Z71. I ended up going with a 4L65E transmission & it bolted right up to my 6.0LS motor & I was able to get my transfer case & 4WD working as well. I found this video & committed to doing the job. I just slapped the 6.0 in mine yesterday. not horrible to get thr engine in. fuel system is simple cooling is simple. the only real pain is wiring but there are guys who make custom harnesses or you can make it simple and go carb if you feel like it
@SUPSGARAGE it definitely will. Wiring is my kryptonite. Been stalling for months because I didn't want to mess up this very expensive build. You got a sub for sure.
There are Alignment marks around the shift shaft area of the neutral safety PRNDL switch on transmission. You would shift trans to neutral and align the marks and tighten down the 2 13mm bolts.
@@SUPSGARAGE absolutely no prob! I'm just starting to look at doing an LS swap on my 95 c2500 suburban. The TBI 454 is just to weak with such low compression.
thanks for the support brother! n yes I use the stock dip stick but had to cut it because now it was too long what should fit is a dip stick from an LS3 but my headers would not allow me to use that one so I cut and mark the oil levels from the LS3 dip stick to my stock one hope that make sense
Did you do a 134a conversion (ac) ?..if so, what did you replaced besides the low and high side hose...i bought a new condenser and wondering if i should stick with r14 or convert to r132a

Was wondering about the VATS system...was it deleted or retuned? Or something else I didn't catch?
It was deleted along with a few more sensors
There are Alignment marks around the shift shaft area of the neutral safety PRNDL switch on transmission. You would shift trans to neutral and align the marks and tighten down the 2 13mm bolts.
Also the 2 plugs Into that PRNDL switch are glued in so it helps to warm the plug area with a heat gun before removing plugs. Do not overheat!!

How did you bend the power steering lines, planning on keeping my original lines but could you bend by hand or do you need a special tool
I did it by hand brother just do little by little until u have enough room

For some reason my ls has a Camaro oil pan and will not bolt up to transmission , stock truck oil pan clear 95 Chevy cross member ?

How’d you get your fuel gauge to work?
You have to make sure you keep all your engine grounds brother. One of them are the ones that ground your fuel pump and your gauge.

no I did not have to brother I had a aftermarket transmission mount already but the one from the LS transmission should work just as fine as well
Hey man do you remember how much you torqued the engine mounts bolts(x2) ? And the bolts(4 each side) to engine ? ..loctite?
I didn't use a torque wrench brother just did it by hand lol and I didn't use any loctite

I didn't brother. I ran the one that came with the LS to avoid any delays trying to figure out what I'm needing to make them work together.
