🧢 Before your videos, I hadn’t heard about the half-life of the medication throughout the week. About the fourth month in, I started noticing how immeasurably different the food chatter was day one through three vs the rest of the week, especially that day six. Once I realized that this is normal and I knew how to “enjoy” the food suppression early in the week and how to eat to stay full, protein and fiber filled- it was a game changer. I’m at the 6mos mark and on Zepbound 5mg. It’s a slow and steady period, compared to early on in this journey. But, again, from your videos, I’ve learned that’s normal and I’m upping my exercise etc to do what I can to get through. 🐢 Thanks again for your support. Like I said, my first mammogram in my early 30's came back looking bad and was directed to see a surgeon right away. My lumpectomy was benign. I have to be honest, I was worried since my Mom had breast cancer, which is why my first test was done in my early 30's. So you never know about these things. Many second looks for many people. That was the only abnormal mammogram I ever had. My first one! I hope you get your results right away and can put this thing to rest. You are great! And you are helping so many people every day!!! Including this 70 year old!!

The weight loss, not so much. i will be titrating up in November as I am set until then with my shots. i have been protein forward with my eating and mercy, getting in that water!!! 💖💓🩷 For you and your appointment Went to 6am barre class. Going lean today, two days after shot. Increased dose just a tad, from 2.5 to 3.0. First day, month 2. Side effects from different shot site (from belly to arm) arent different, if anything, much less as I'm also getting used to the drug and have my stanley wIth electrolytes, protein powder, etc... Will maybe try a short Peloton weights class today for lower body. Heavier weights are arriving later this week to help me do more weighted lower body work.🧢🧢🧢🧢
Definitely counting calories. I am a heavy lifter and cardio person. If I’m working out, I struggle with trying to eat as little calories as possible on day 1 &2. I’m like i need protein! I wish I didn’t over think it on those days.
I have been taking zepbound And I wouldn’t get off of the medication right now, but I do know that in the future if I decided to get off the medicine, so I would make sure that I am mentally and physically ready for that. I wouldn’t just say I would gain all the weight back that’s kind of like a copout like I’m totally dependent upon a medication sometimes you just have to try.
I'm on day 5 on I binged on chinese food- I feel terrible- bad food noise tonight! I wanted to cook a healthy dinner but got home late and hubby wanted to order out! ugggh
I always forget that you and most of the others here don't have diabetes. Caught myself thinking how do they manage eating that? I may get to eat something like that 4x a year because of the need to keep glucose down. I start Mounjaro Friday, so really hoping A1c comes down to 5.0 or slightly lower (now at 5.9) and lose some weight. I need to lose another 40 lbs, but being a diabetic makes it very difficult.
I hear ya. T2 and been on MJ for over a year. My diet looks very different- than many who are I. This for weight loss - and it was before MJ…too. Also, the control of sugar is a daily thing not necessarily a weekly thing so it’s harder to really restrict calories in the beginning and increase them later because levels need to be as stable as possible if we can manage it.
@@Valley_Gal i was on Ozempic for over 5 years and Victoza (daily injection) for 8 months before that. Last July there was such a shortage I decided to see if I could control on my own and I did a decent job. My current A1c is 5.9. Hoping the Mounjaro lowers it to about 5.0. Also 40 # to still lose.

Oh my gosh...thank you so much. I've been meeting with a dietician..she wants me at 1700 calorie a day..and it makes me sick to force that in...so im choosing not to . I'll pick proteins..but rest assured I will not be starving myself..haha

I’m 83 pounds down and I don’t force feed. But I don’t workout on day 1 and 2. My NP said that fine.
