That is just how fishing goes sometimes. I was out this week on the lake, not catching anything and a pretty bad storm blew up out of nowhere. I ran to this small shelter and hid for a few minutes. When the storm passed I figured “Well I am out here, why not fish a bit more?” The largemouth started going crazy, just hitting everything. I caught probably 15 bass in 90 minutes, a couple over 3 lb. Just crazy how it works out.
Always happy to see another Boatless Angler episode. What an amazing thing for you to have been privileged to witness and great catches! And a well produced video as well! Good stuff.
I love that shot of you shaking holding the fish lol the same thing still happens to me all the time even with smaller catches. So exciting and awesome footage
Wow! Thanks for sharing glad you were there to experience it and capture it for all of us. Never caught a stripper but would love to. You do such a great job with your videos and presentation. Thanks so much
Sir that was so awesome I have never seen stuff like that them bass were everywhere and you got some nice one I would have took some home and eat them you should have did a catch and cook with them but sir your awesome and I appreciate all you do sir so thanks
This video brings back memories. I saw this happening every year in ohio and it fun man. I'm literally puking from excitement first couple time fish in this situation. Imagine wading waist deep half drunk in the middle of spawning season. Good time man.
I belive theyre eating lots of baitfish for making eggs before its winter. Big perch here in Finland tend to go to shallow bays to stack up on baitfish in fall.
I to have an awesome spot in northern Virginia I fish almost every day through October and November for striped bass. Its unbelievable how many I'll get in the two hours I have to fish.
Wow! Awesome video and awesome fishing you say that the fish are highbreds strippers and what else? Sorry we don't have freshwater bass in the UK so I've never seen these fish before! Ps you have a new sub 🎣👌👍
that's crazy i've seen white bass and stripers chase after schools, but not up close some of the footage is unreal to watch these shad be chased into to the surface and jump like a wave.

My favorite time of the year is the white bass run, for weeks on end i can catch hundreds of whites some 3-4lbs. Fun stuff
Here in Southern California, we call that type of action from the shad "boils". Top water lures is favored when you come across boils. Good job!
