Raising baby squirrels - Dozer and Dash

One cold February day, our nephew found two hairless baby squirrels on the ground beneath a tree. We brought them inside to warm up in a towel. We reached out to a wildlife rehabber and got turned down because they were too full so I took on the task of raising them myself. Danny wasn't happy at first but after a few days he loved them! I didn't get any sleep for a few weeks waking up at night to feed them. There were some scary times when we really didn't think they'd make it but they both survived! At first they ate goats milk supplied by my friend Monica and then we switched to squirrel formula from Henry's Healthy Pets until they slowly transitioned to solid food (squirrel blocks, veggies, fruits, and nuts as treats). Dozer had some neurological problems due to the fall from the tree but over time he improved. Watch part 2 to watch the boys grow up and become wild squirrels!
