I’m shocked that is 4 years ago caz I could wear all this in 2020 🇿🇦style is classic
So true! I keep coming back to this video in search for inspiration and always find something interesting :)
Actually you wont be able to becuz of covid
Me too!
It's timeless. Very chic, sophisticated and subtle.
Duh. All of these outfits are basic. Of course they are gon stay in mode forever. None of the clothes are trendy. 🤷🏻♀️ it aint rocket science.
The model makes the outfits look nice
Exactly. I do not think that half of these are wearable on a normally lean body.
Agree I started watching this because I am middle management now, I want to dress like the next rung up. And do you know what middle management is not 20 something skinny, most of us are struggling with the after effects of kids, busy workload, slow metabolism and being of average height. Give me work-ware for this market and I will buy it. I started watching this and going I would not make these outfits look nice. ( Congrats to all the superwomen out there that can manage everything...no disrespect).
I think the focus should be on the general look of each outfit. Try them and fine tune for your body type (and even your skin and hair color).
@@holkangel That model is still a normal body
It’s 2023 and this video still has some great looks that are timeless. Yes the culottes and flared skirt are a bit dated per todays standards but most of the rest of these are still wearable. Well done to the stylist!
all of these clothes looks crazy expensive
That's because they are. You can definitely find cheaper alternatives though! Places like Zara & online boutiques like missguided and such
Joana Mercado thank you! (:
Manga, Zara and Massimo Dutti are affordable alternatives. :) COSstore is also a great alternative but a pricy one. I recommend the sale that Massimo Dutti has before every winter when they sell out all the coats for a cheaper price. Remember that when buying a coat for example, try to see the material it's made out of, if it contains 100% wool that's the best opition obviously for autumn especially if you live in a cold country. Coats that contain polyester or acrylic is a big no since the coats has a tendency to look "fuzzy" over time...
Try the alternative shops except Zara because they have sweatshops that pay people close to nothing while robbing regular people at high prices instead of paying their employees and factory workers more
also try stradivarius and bershka if they're in your country :)
the fact that everybodys moaning that the pieces are expensive, well you're on a net-a-porter youtube account, it's not going to be cheap
Love and follow your page, please follow me if you are interested inn all things Style & Design @VICTORIACLAIREOFFICIAL!
You can buy similar pieces at Zara, H&M etc.
I keep coming back to this video for inspiration! So chic, timeless and classic!
Me also even through it's old, however, most of these style are back.
all the looks are so chic! if only i had candice to dress me everyday
That's right ladies. Work hard, earn hard, so that you can spend 50k on a tiny set of wardrobe.
AL if you're passionate about fashion and you can afford, then why not? Everyone has their own opinion about what makes them feel good and confident and clothes can aid in that for some people
You'd be surprised just how far you can go with a few pieces of quality clothing if you know how to mix and match as well as wash your clothes properly, of course. As Vivienne Westwood once said, "buy less, choose well, make it last."
You can buy similar pieces at Zara, H&M, Massimo Dutti etc. But if you can afford luxury clothing, why not?
Let people do what they want. These looks were considered high fashion five years ago and still are today, and I could see them being classic looks decades from now. Netaporter is known for being a luxury e-commerce website, not sure why you’re here if that’s not an interest
if you put a bin bag over that model she would still look fashionable. You need that hight to pull off most of these looks, i wonder how tall she is..
+TheMarmite09 That's the other problem with these looks. They may look alright on a tall woman who weighs eighty pounds, but they would not look right on the average person.
Actually I'm 5"3 and I have a long coat and it looks really nice on me and I tend to more taller, I think it will look nice on anyone
Well, this is an advertisement for NAPs clothes, not a guide, really.
I'm 6ft tall and all of this would look pants on me... She's thin enough to carry anything off!
who is she anyway?
I think its soooo awkward how she's tucking in the models clothes.. let the woman zip her own pants please!
If only I was as tall as the model. Oh and could afford those pieces of clothes 🙂
Same girl
Same here girl
2 to 3k for a coat, who can afford it for work huh?
Thanh Nguyen manager and real estate agent,I guess
Hanh Dao it’s not a Target catalogue, it’s Porter magazine
I just began working in an office environment in new york city. I'm an intern that will be working all year with an incredible company and I'm still trying to find the perfect balance between chic, youthfulness, comfort, and appropriateness. It is a semi-professional environment so you'll see some people going all out and some like my boss who just wears jeans but makes them look good.
I'm starting to gain inspiration by just walking through the concrete jungle in the morning and observing what all these fabulously chic women are wearing on their way to work. NYC mornings are a rush but I love love love it
I suggest looking at clothing from Winser London, Hobbs, Boden and Anthropologie. If you mix and match you will have a wardrobe that is timeless and yet still interesting.
Hey! How's it going?
If you have the money to buy these clothes, you're definitely not working at a 9 to 5 job.
Or you work 50+ hr weeks in fashion and get shitloads of freebies, discounts, wholesale prices. Broke but chic 😉
Yeah you’re probably working much longer hours than that
Lol
the stylist's outfit is so elegant!
Baiyina Hughley seriously though😍😍😍 I can't get over the it. Am in love with her outfit more than the looks she created😂😍😍
What?
I adore the pants
I loved the first pinstripe look with the navy blazer she put on before the White one 😍😍 and all other looks. amazing inspiring looks, net-a-porter. Always in need to outfit inspiration for work!
*of
I absolutely loved the looks but I don't think most of them are appropriate for non-fashion/designer/editor related office jobs, unfortunately.
+CUT3FRI3NDLY such as where? Doctors and lawyers can dress however they like, they could dress this way. All these looks are office friendly.
+Robertking1996 No. No they're not. The high, high heels, the ankle pants and culottes, and many of the other items are very, VERY specifically called out as not permitted in most corporate dress codes. I've worked at many companies in the last 30 years, I don't even know if ONE of those outfits would be allowed for any employee at any level. Also, one has to be very, very careful to not wear more expensive clothing than the other people working in that position. One has to be really careful to fit in and follow the styles of the people who work in the company. It is very important to look at each company as an individual 'personality' and culture. And each company is in fact, unique.NET-A-PORTER, you're completely and totally out of touch with corporate dress codes.
+Thomas F maybe if you work at some boring office in the mid west. But Net-A-Porter specifically markets itself to rich and ultra high net worth individuals. They're not after middle class women. Women in the "world's capitals" i.e. NYC, LA, London, Paris, Hong Kong can dress this way and it's expected to be dressy.
+Thomas F i live in nyc and i see many, many women dress this way for work, even when they don't work in a fashion-related field. these outfits are quite acceptable for the corporate offices here, even in finance companies such as morgan stanley. but then, i suppose it depends on what city you live in. i imagine these outfits will work for offices in any big city and that women who dress like this will get a lot of admiration and respect for dressing so well.
+ying h exactly, everyone in NYC is so dressy, even the most drab outfit in NYC is a vogue outfit in Texas. I love going there because people actually dress so nice and care to be put together. I live in Houston and everyone is so shabby.
I loveeee these style videos!
Sure if you're skinny!
and tall
They don't get it at all! Maybe 1% of all women in my corporation look like this! They target that small percentage.
and rich
it's more like they are lazy than ignorant. its everywhere, we shout at them that we are all different shapes and heights but it's easier for them to make clothing for one body type than for multiple.
Hey, at least there are specialty stores for the different body types now... Sorta. The shorter ones of us will just have to continue shopping at kids' sections I guess.
...though some of the kids clothes they're making these days are more adult than a good chunk of what I wear >_>
Getting paid for being just dressed beautifully by designers....best job ever
I'd wear any of these look everyday!
anyone got any advice for someone who is only 5'1"? I love trench coats...cozy throws and long satin blouses. I see them on models (btw the model in this vid is stunning) and i want to wear them so badly. Everytime i try something like a trench or tunic on it looks like im being eaten alive by my own clothing!!
Evna I buy a lot of stuff from Loft & Banana Republic's petite section! :) or for more casual wear, I shop at Stylenanda, which is a korean brand and therefore shipping is also a pain
Boden has an option for lengths (Short, Regular and Tall)
Evna same tho
If you're buying investment pieces like a trench coat or a suit I would look into tailoring. Obviously it would be a bit much for everyday casual items but as someone around your height, I always tailor those kinds of items. I get the best size for fit (width) regardless of length and shorten it either myself or if it's a tricky piece at a tailor
Aritzia makes very fitted clothes tailored to petite women their stuff is expensive tho but looks amazing on and fits perfectly
Loved every single outfit!! Ps. The model is beautiful
That moment when you realize you're not tall at all :(
Ord Grill 👍🏻😿
Those cropped, pleated pants are hideous. Most of these clothes would create horrible proportions on anyone shorter than 6 feet tall and heavier than 108 pounds.
Gatto Nero Then dont wear it simple
Gatto Nero You can look great in whatever clothes you want stop hating
OK
im neither tall (5"3) nor skinny (160lbs, usually size L) and these are great styles if you make alterations like cutting the pants and sleeve, using neutral or similar color to elongate the figure. Ofc i don't look as good as the model but im not looking frumpy either
That moment you realise you’re poor.
These looks are stunning! I wish you uploaded videos like this more often! Candice and Carmen are my absolute faves!
u need to slow down the look once its dressed. i can barely check them out before the clothes are taken off!
I don't know a single person who looks good on a culotte
This was fun to watch BUT you only show outfits for glam jobs, maybe because it is for an luxury NAP shopper.
What is the models name?
I'm wondering the height of the model
This look book is so inspiring for work clothes! Thank you! :)
one of the best looks I've ever seen!!
She's an amazing stylist!
really love the first two looks!!!! ♥
This video is sheer perfection. I literally want every outfit. The stylist did great!
These looks are great but will only look good on 6% of women. Not all of us are models, you know.
Linh Nguyen wrong. You can wear anything you like no matter your physical appearance, this will actually make you look better not worse.
the best video in this series. you should invite this designer more often. her feel of style is perfect))
Work clothes are like text books...we all have to buy it but it's never very fun.
please do one with modest budget
Indri P nothing at net a porter is modest in budget lol. I see a lot of similar pieces at stores like uniqlo though
This is net a porter go to H&M
if only the average office worker could afford Gucci 😏
When will stylists include curvy women, and not the replicas of Kate Moss. No offense, the model is gorgeous but not all ladies are that thin.
And not all ladies are curvy your statement is dumb
absolutely genius....Love especially the first 2 looks so much.
I'm impressed with how she styled these pieces
where is the white sleevless top from, the one the model has on before changing to the long sleeve shirt?joseph?
Lilly Rose Hi Lilly, the Baxter crepe top is by Joseph and available at NET-A-PORTER.COM. Please let us know if we can help any further. - bit.ly/1E8ulne
Love this! Thank you for providing such chic yet interesting options. Please continue these styling videos despite the complaints in the comments.
Yes yes ill spend all my money that i gget from work on crazy expensive office wear.Sounds good
This is brilliant!
These looks are very trendy, minimalist hard lines and rather non-feminine, I wouldn't say this is a rule to follow to look professional, but just one option for people. If sleek simple jewelry is your favorite then great, but it isn't a one-shoe-fits-all rule for work style. But great ideas!
A S T Y L E R E E L by Shannon Kylí" non femninine" what exactly a feminine look? smh
Love this. Id pretty much wear every outfit shown.
The word "sophisticated" - when you have nothing else to say :p
If I walked into work like this everyone would say, "Why are you so dressed up?" The workplace has become very casual in most places.
Wonder where the top Candice Lake has is from.. I like it a lot!
Just casually wearing my Alexander McQueen bag to my 9-5 job... 😅
I would love to wear all the clothes shown!
Why don't you try this with a plus size model, coz believe me there aren't many with the figure of the model you have hired in real life. Next time let's style a realistic person shall we
Gu"era pero porque no modelas tu la ropa tu eres perfecta la modelo pareses tu y el autffits que traes esta padrisimo salydos de mexico⛄❄🎄🌟🎁🌲⛄❄🎄🌟🎁🌲👱
I think all of these outfits are lovely . . . if you happen to work in a more casual atmosphere. Where is the advice and guidance for women that need to wear suits? I understand that many professions have shed the traditional suit formality, but many others have not. Sorry, but a silk blouse and and tailored trousers paired with a trench coat is just not up to par for many work environments. Again, though, the outfits presented were gorgeous.
All the clothes are minimal yet so chic love it
Some of them are nice pieces of clothing but at times the styling was very, very old fashioned and grandma-like. It just looks like one is trying too hard. Such as shirt OVER skirt, and yeah those culottes are just a big no no. Sorry but that's the way it is.
beautiful and informative! i, uh...i still have no idea how to replicate any of these lol
What is the name of the model? She is so stunning!
Юлия Суходоева i want to know too
Her name is Darude Sandstorm
If you don't have a job but you still see this videos likeeeeee
Wow, love every outfit in the video!
Very beautiful thank your very much ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️❤️🌷🌷🎈
please do these kinds of video more often! LOVE IT.
More like 9-7 everywhere else
can we please take a minute about the fact that this channel has not reached at least 1 million subs like wtf this channel deserves the world and so much more recognition than it already has love u guys, the content u have published in this vid is absolutely sick and i love you guys! u have literally made my day in this quarantine!
Amazing fashion video! Gorgeous elegant style!
how to dress for work:
1- look like a model
2- see #1 again
This video was horribly edited! They need to show the looks for a longer period and skip/fast forward the parts where she is undressing the model so that we can actually concentrate on what the writing says..
02:20 sorry but its wrong style.
She killed it, I almost cried
Hi! Can you please do more videos like that! On weekly bases 😬🙏🏻?
I loveee it, the way you combined everything was absolutely perfect 💕
These are the saddest colors I have ever seen in my life just because its a work outfit it doesn't mean it has to be dead boring , baggy and manly looking .
That white coat would get so grubby on the Tube 😂😂😂
Can you dress a model in a different size? Like maybe someone shorter or a larger size?
All these brands are worn by people who probably dont need to work😂
Love these! They are femenine wothout going barbie secretary!
The very first one: I'M TOO FAT FOR PINSTRIPE
*wallows in despair forever*
To be honest, it looks definitely great if ure slim and pretty, just like that beautiful model!
I wish i could look like her, so gorgeous :)
Love the shirts and coats!!! 😍 I prefer pants past ancle though. 👍💞
