Ailee is the better singer. However, there was some disastrous notes in here for both of them X_x. There is like one E5 Ailee did that I was highly impressed with cause of it's fulness. And That Shannon girl with that vibrato and gospel jaw....
So it's obviously no contest in the fourth octave, Ailee all the way lol. Her resonance is nearly unrivaled in that area by any other female idol. She was still taking the cake on the C5s & C#5s, although Shannon finally starts putting up a fight in the fifth octave. Her last C#5 was better than Ailee's last one though. Both of their D5 notes were nice. Since Ailee had some of her best Eb5s in this battle, she was still slaying, although they don't always sound like that. I did like Shannon's E5s more. Now Shannon starts straining, so F5 and F#5 went to Ailee. Even though that Sugarman F#5.... mhm. And they both lost on G5 LOL. If Ailee didn't have such good choices she may have performed a little worse above C5/C#5 and some notes may have definitely gone to Shannon, but even so, Ailee supports higher in her mix.
+ Jordan Madriaga I also disagree about the part where you said that Ailee is better than Shannon because she is more powerful. That is not the reason why Ailee is better than Shannon, Ailee is superior than Shannon because she has better techniques and is more skilled as a vocalist. Being a great vocalist has nothing to do with powerful voice. Take this for example, Barbra Streisand recognized to have the best vocal techniques of all times but Whitney Houston has more powerful voice than her but that doesn't mean she is better than Barbra when it comes to techniques. Also take Mariah Carey and Ailee, Ailee has louder voice than Mariah but that does not mean she is more vocally talented. Having powerful voice does not always mean as the better vocalist.

I like both! They both such a better singer, there's just a difference. Shannon is still 19 and rookie. Meanwhile, Ailee has a lot experience since 2012 and way older than Shannon, so it's not shocking if people choose Ailee. But, I personaly choose Shannon. Her vocal technique makes me envy towards her, she is 2 years younger than me, but she can hit the highest note same as Ailee. Even she can make a vibe of her vibrato well than me, I can't even do vibrato. 😢 It's only producing vibe when I use falsetto or headvoice. Well both of them win this, not one of them. Ailee > Shannon by a mile. Shannon gets really whiny for me as she goes higher past E5. Also jaw vibrato is a no. She's still young though, so by the time she reaches Ailee's age, her voice will mature and she will get better and plus her head voice is gorgeous.

Hands down, It is clearly that Ailee wins. Shannon belts notes and sing very bright, but Ailee, in my opinion, can sing it in both Mezzo (Darker) and Light lyric (brighter) which is a very excellent quality of a Soprano. :)
