I've put about 50 hours into Soul Hackers 2 so far and I'm trying to do everything in the game such as getting comp upgrades and doing all available side quests including the DLC side quests. This is a game that I had hyped up to an absurd level in my head and it is actually living up to the hype so far. Though I don't know how much is left in the game, I look forward to whatever lies ahead as well as the content in New Game+.
It’s a meaty game, especially if you’re liking the direction they’re going with this one
I have 88 hours in the game, got the true ending the first New Game and currently in NG+. Honestly it’s feeling like a chore, and I still can’t believe that I’ll have to do the confusing, boring, unfun 3rd and 4th floor matrix just to finish the 5th floor. Which I’m praying to god that it’ll be easier than the floors before it, even though in my heart I know the 5th floor will suck my life away.
Interesting it sounds like they took a page from the tales series in allowing you to carry over specific things if you want. What really surprises me is the fact that new game plus will give you new hangout events that you probably never got in your 1st place through as well as new requests because because most of the time when you go through new game plus you just go through the exact same events over and over and over again but this time you can carry over damn near everything and still find brand new stuff that you never got before. This does give me the incentive to want to go back and do new game plus although I am currently doing my 1st run on hard mode and so far it's not too bad it's not giving me nightmares like SMT5 when I tried to play that on hard at the start and it whooped my ass. In the end this definitely sounds like another good game to go back and replay a couple of times especially since it'll increase the soul level gain each play through so nice look into it Alex!
I think the additional Hangouts are worth checking out in NG+!
@@BacklogBattle Oh undeniably which is why I'm happy that new game plus gives you the options to look at new look at new hang out events that you didn't get thus further developing these characters.
What a great list! Love the fact you can just choose not to carry over certain things if you don't want to!

Ooooh, compendium transfer being optional is unexpected! Then again in most of the previous SMT I played you couldn't get 100% compendium in a single playthrough...

Yesterday I've managed to play through »Soul Hackers 2« the very first time. Usually I don't do »New Game +« playthroughs because I usually put so much time into a game like this (in this case over 72 hours) that at some point ... well ... it usually is enough. And there are so many other great games out there.
But in this case ... I don't know man. Somehow Atlus managed to bind the four protagonists - Ringo, Arrow, Milady and Saizo together with some side characters for example Ash and Figue - so tight to my heart (no joking) ... I was nearly sobbing as I got through the (bad) ending. »Soul Hackers 2« is (for me) as near as it could get to »Persona 5« without copying »Persona 5«.
That's why I am really considering a 2nd playthrough.

BIG question.... Summoner skills like demon skill unlock....
How does that work?
Compendium should have them with 6 skills but the max will only be 4 at game start?
You’ll be able to unlock more of those later. They’re story locked and you’ll be able to unlock one to start as part of it
@@BacklogBattle so summoning a demon from compendium with 6 skills already, means that they lose some skills?
What happens to them
@@ZealGames You'll have to pick which ones to keep once that happens, though if you've registered a demon that already has one additional skill, then you probably already have at least one skill slot unlocked. To my knowledge, there is no way to get a base demon that already has more skills that what you're allowed to have.
Ooh, so basically after summoning Satan with 6 skills in chapter 1 of the NG+, the compendium will prompt us to choose which skills we want to forget?

You don't have to do anything. Those slots are all unlocked in NG+
If i end the game with lvl 65 for example and i start the new game plus, it starts with enemies at lvl 3 and me at lvl 65? i want to do the 5th floor and i have to reach 200 soul lvl with everyone so i have to do the ng+, but i dont know if its gonna be so boring to go through all the game with my overleveled team.
If you want to, yes - you can have your level 65 character in NG+. But it’s your choice.
