First things first. The water pump going. Did you make several takes of the video after that? I would not be able to be so smiley....But you did get Triple AAA road service, which probably cost what the whole vacation would of. Then to get the correct water pump part....Oh yes....MEMORIES,,,,,,,,,you could live without ! But you did have views and DOWN TIME to capture things you had time to spot. Being also a photographer for over 30 years professionally and over a million images I'm curious No tripod ? I'd go for Lowest ISO, mine 64 and greatest depth of field, locking at closest position seen in photo . Will be there this coming year. I went years ago over it by small plane and 70-200 2.8 lens...Big mistake....was the time of flight in the day. We went Mid Day.....WRONG Mid day the canyon below is cooler then the air above....It was a THERMAL ROLLER COSTER RIDE, add looking thru the camera and concentrating on focus....Your Equilibrium was totally thrown to the wind, and soon dizzy and using the convient barf bag ! Telling the pilot.... HOME JAMES ! I got the shots but not all I could have. GO Early MORNING or Late in the day when the temperature above is equal to the temperature below !!! Or better .....do land shots and save possibly getting sick. Now everyone.......Where to stay, where to get great images, and what to skip ???? I expect 3-4 days the Sedona I hear is good. Then Las Vegas, Hoover Dam etc. Can't wait but alot of planning, plane from NYC,car rental there, hotels, and best to stay at the canyon... What would you all suggest....I'm listening !🎬 All Ears...in every thought to get it right.
