One of the most powerful forces on Earth is a human being who refuses to be beaten, and refuses to allow themselves to be called a victim. This video is a powerful reminder we all need from time to time.
So glad to see your reaction to this song. Another great one by Craig Morgan is "Tough". One of my favorite songs by him is "International Haverster", being from farm country this song rings true in so many ways.
Craig Morgan is a great singer, story teller (in his music) and a absolutely amazing entertainer!! We've seen him in concert and yes he is a veteran. His son passed away last year (I believe) from a water skiing accident 😭
Incredible thoughts on this! Thank you!! I’m both crying and smiling- maybe the best combination of emotions there is. You are so awesome and intuitive!!!! 💛
In case you were not aware, Billy, Craig Morgan was in the United States Army for 17 years. If we had all seen the things that he has, we might, in large percentage be totally crazy. Craig Morgan is a person who works hard and will always work hard. I love Craig Morgan's music. Craig Morgan lives in Tennessee and Tennessee has been getting a lot of storms this year. My son and I served as volunteer emergency backup communications radio operators at the hurricane shelters for like 4 days each all during 2004. I was forced to retire because of serious spinal issues, but I'd like to think we did serve to help the citizens of Marion County during those uncomfortable days at the shelters. We did that volunteer work for a total of 10 years, but as my spinal issues worsened, I had to give it up. It's just one of those things where age and infirmities raise their ugly heads. So, regrettably, we retired from the Radio Group which was a part of our Emergency Operations Center here in North Central Florida. At one time when we were manning the ham radios at the hurricane shelter, the land lines were down, cell towers weren't operating, and the shelter manager came to the radio room in an agitated state. She had a patient in one of the other wings of the school who was having difficulty breathing. I picked up the microphone for one of our ham radios, and said "EOC, EOC, our shelter manager is unable to reach 911 either through land line or cell phone. She has a man in the shelter who was having difficulty breathing. I picked up and keyed the microphone, saying: EOC, EOC, this is Belleview Middle School, our shelter manager has been unable to raise anyone either on the land lines or on the cell phones. She has an elderly gentleman who is experiencing difficulty breathing. In less than 5 minutes, the EMT's/Paramedics were there tending to this man. I won't sit here and try to make out that we were a big hero or anything like that. We just did our job as voluntary emergency radio backup team, because with our batteries on our equipment and the antennaes which are installed at the schools designated as shelters. and the job was relatively simple. We would gladly have relayed and did relay such calls if assistance was need from EMT'S/Paramedics. That's the whole reason for us being there. I think that served its purpose and I suspect lives were saved as a result. AND those lives are important. Property can be replaced, time will erase the storm damage, but once a life is lost, we can't replace that lost life. Lives are very important in my book.
Another great reaction, thank you!! Craig Morgan is an Army vet right there with you, he works closely with the USO now and plays a lot of concerts on bases for the troops. Love that guy!
Billy, Craig does a few songs that you should react to as a veteran. "Paradise" is one and "If Not Me" is the other. Very profound songs from a proud veteran.
Craig is amazing.. he has a beautiful song called that what I love about Sunday's.. and a dad song called the father, my son and the holy ghost (grab tissues if u react to that one)
Not sure if your still doing this I have two great songs for you Darryl Worley I miss my friend and The Call by Matt Kennon the second one really hit home because I have thought about suicide but I hear that song at the right moment and reconsider it thanks
Billy, this man reminds me of my Dad. He and my Mom had been married 56 years when my mom died. He didn't last 4 months after mom passed. His lesson is that the material things really don't matter -- it's people who matter!
P.S. Craig Morgan served in the U.S. Army for more than 10 years. Craig Morgan lost his 17 year old son in a tubing accident a couple of years ago. People are so important, while the material things don't really matter all that much.
Hey billy, I know you we’re in the Army, did you know Craig was also in the Army? He was in for a long time as a forward observer as active and reserve duty, just curious what did you do when you were in the army?
The guy said it neecer than I would have. I would have said "I don't care, because aint nothing." "You want me to cry, heads up going to disappoint you. I've been through worse, and something worse than this will come in the future."

I love when folks who get a microphone put in front of them and they say something important.
Craig is a fellow veteran, he was stationed at Ft. Campbell and used to travel to Nashville any time he got a chance.
