I really wish there were more christian artists who represented themselves with the level that the other artists do. She is a good artist, i am not a fan of the dancer nor the costumes. Part of gaining the crowd is understand and taking from what is already in and there is a big difference from being A Good Performer and A Sexual Artist, and christian artists have trouble understanding that differences, we really need new artists in this genre who can represent the genre well. There is a reason why mainstream artists attract many listeners and it is by far more then just the words that they are succeeding at, people do not lie it for the words it is the spirit, artistry, performance, showmanship, sound, and soul placed into the songs and performances that is roled up into a cultural trend. Christian artists are either behind the cultural trends or lack soul and emotion. People listen to music because it brings out something in themselves, it brings out real emotions and feelings, You can not be an Artist without that. People need to study what the mainstream labels are doing that is catching the attention of people, and learn to understand the difference between being different then them by still demonstrating professional qualities that they can. It really makes christian artists look bad, because there is no reason why they cannot bring something unique to the table and be the vibrance to the stage.
Where are the good singers, there are a few and those people have more fans then just followers. They lack the things that make a performance what it is. Look at Leona Lewis she is a great example of an artist who taughted people with her voice in the mainstrain realm without using sexual methods, by giving it raw emotion, most have no feeling. I really want to be blown away by one, there are no pure pop contemporary vocalists with raw talent such as Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion, Talent does not take away glory because it's their feelings and emotion that gives them followers, why cant the christian realm have an artist like them to represent and show that they do can be just as good of artists as Beyonce etc.
I would love to be that person on a stage I would love to be a christian artist, and be loyal to the industry, and try to be as good as i can be so that i can offer the best I can to the listeners, too give it a good reputation. To be able to say Hey, I understand how you feel, I have feelings, I have emotions, I have things to share and I am sharing them with you so you can feel lie someone cares and understands what you are going through. To bring that stage light, their is a Vibe or A Spiritual Light or Buzz feeling when you Are intuned and a connection you feel beyond this world when you have emotion to ur songs, iLeona Lewis cries into her songs. Where is the Emotion. The dancing and costumes is not up to date with this generation its about 5 or more years back. How are you supposed to get people to listen if you dont want to no what this generation needs? You shouldnt want to just bring in other christians you should also want to bring in unbelievers how you supposed to do that without understanding the culture? You can be pretty and not seductive, you can dance without being pervocative, you can sing with emotion without say crude words, you can be a role model without being a God, you can dress in a sparkly dress without being nude! It is Not Impossible Just Need People with The Right Focus to do so, Need more then just musicians filling up christian gabs, we Need Real Artists Being Christian artists and Not so Quicly to Leave Into Sexual ANd Not to Slow to Not Try to Progress and UNderstand the World your Dealing with. Give your AUdience the best because your light could be their light As Well.
