I have the AM5. The max weight capacity of the AM3 is around 28 pounds. The C8 weighs ~12 pounds. Add weight of camera, tracking scope probably adds 6 to 12 pounds. So I would say yes. The trick is to use the counterweight and have a good tripod. If using the carbon fiber ZWO tripod stabilize it with additional basket weight.
