    Nice solution and perhaps a metal shield or box could be built to contain the light a bit, but ventilation would be important and 3D-printed items would melt or worse. Incandescent lamps are good for this purpose as they radiate most of their energy away from themselves while power resistors are poor radiators... until they get so hot they fail. Julian would approve.

    Tungsten bulbs are not a linear load. At startup they have a very low resistance, virtually shorting a PC power supply into fold-back. For $20 a 5000w "Dryer Heating Element Restring Coil Replacement" can be cut and segmented for installation on a few screw-type barrier strips.😉

    I made something like this 2 years ago i used h7 car holders and glued them on a little box. In the box are 2 step down units whit 2 potmeters on the outside so i can adjust the voltage.
    I made a newer version whit a programmable step down module.

    My solution was a bit more expensive, but still pretty cheap.
