I’m an extremely high handicap. Just getting into golf this year. Bought the dark speed ls 9degree. It’s surprisingly forgiving and the odd time I hit the sweet spot, it’s even more amazing
Why wouldn’t a scratch golfer hit a Cobra or any of the 3 models? I know multiple scratch golfers who were fitted into Cobra and use Cobra drivers, so I don’t get why you think a scratch golfer wouldn’t use the brand Cobra?
We’re pretty confident in saying…. Statistically, cobra wouldn’t be in the bag of the majority of scratch or better golfers. TM/Titleist/Callaway would far outweigh cobra
@@michaelwalsh7753 nah once you got into the higher handicaps. Price would be a much more definitive factor for a start. And secondly more “off the shelf” purchases would be made
Why can’t you just adjust the weights on the LS differently. Heavy in back, mid to heavy at heel and light to toe. It will give you more flexibility and set up up with the different shape head and different technology more towards the darkspeed max which is more forgiving. Cobra sells weight kits and you can buy separate weights. On my darkspeed max I just increased the heel from a stock 4g to an 8g and it made a huge difference.
Are you in the US and did you order the weights directly from Cobra's website? I haven't found an option to buy the (original) weights in Europe so far.
Ok thanks. I went for club fitting last week. Tried the smoke and others. After trying a few different brands, shafts and minor adjustments, the pro fitter advised me the cobra max was the one for me. I'm 72 playing off 14 with a slow swing speed of about 85. So fingers crossed.
Cobra isn’t known for being forgiving. Them and TM are both known for being distance seekers above all else. And of course low HCP would play cobras. That’s the dumbest critique ever. Lots of pros use them 😂
Just traded in my beloved Sim Max 2 for the Max Darkspeed. Gained 17 yards more distance and greater control. Also upgraded shaft cut to my length helps too.
Well done Westy, not easy following Ash and his gift of the gab 👍

DARKSPEED MAX might have been slightly better for off center hits, but I’ve found the DARKSPEED drivers to be great!
Great review Westy 👏👏👏
Thanks! 👍
The Camerasmun to The Reviewsmun. Quality work, Westy
Man of many trades
Great that Westy, really good in depth review of the Cobras, is this the end of Ash? 🤔😀
The new reviewsman lol
Unreal content lads
🙌🙌
Yes we know how you hit driver hence the 4 iron off the tee. If I get a new driver this year it will be the dark speed I love how it looks
It looks so good

@@thegolfsupplyFACTS…..
@@thegolfsupply that would be the case across all handicap ranges as well i would have thought?

@@thegolfsupply not sure about that, wealth doesnt equate to golf handicap

Cobra is making a name I think all handicaps would consider cobra. The numbers speak for themselves
Interesting
Really good again got the cobra max improved my driving which I suck at least now can find the ball
Hahahaha class
I'm at a decision whether to buy the Max. Did you find you get more distance than your previous driver. ?
Yes I would great driver

tested the darkspeed and found it very hard to hit myself
REMINDS ME OF MY TRUCK BLACKED OUT
SO THATS WHAT MAKES ME LAUGH AT THE BOYS 😂
Why would you not game Cobra as a low figure handicap? 😅
Starting of with that confirmed you’re clueless.
He’s saying majority of scratch golfers would choose another brand, which is correct
The simple answer. TM / Titleist / Callaway are the preferred choices. Welcome to the channel too, pleasure having you 😂🙌
Glad it made sense to some haha
@@thegolfsupply Yes the sheep do follow each other off the cliff and it doesn't mean there using the best driver.
Most lower handicapped players game Ping, titleist, etc. I think Cobra is a hidden gem.
WE NOT TALKING ABOUT YOU KNOB 😂
