    EPISODE 13: HIS TEMPLE
Did Jesus go to Church? Where did Jesus go primarily to pray and worship God? In this episode, tour guide, Richard Frieden takes Jeff to the Mount of Olives where they overlook the city of Jerusalem as Jesus did when he journeyed to the Temple 2000 years ago. They recall Jesus weeping over the city as he approached it, and how beautiful it looked from that incredible perspective.
They then head to the Israel Museum where they are transported back to the time of Jesus through an actual model of the Temple so it can be completely reimagined.
They then meet up with Israel Antiquities Authority archaeologist, Ya’akov Billig at the steps of the Temple to discuss what was discovered there that illuminates this place that Jesus was so familiar with. Where would the moneychangers have been? Why did Jesus get so angry at them?
Historians and theologians talk about how Herod’s temple was built, looked, and functioned at the time of Jesus. They discuss Jesus’ passion for the Temple and how he echoed the Hebrew prophets when he said the Jewish Temple “should be a house of prayer for all nations.”

In 1985 First Century Foundations (formerly ‘Operation Outreach’) was founded by Rev. Clyde and Marion Williamson and birthed out of prayer and a burning desire to bless the land and people of Israel through the love of God. Since then, the organization has grown to include teaching believers about the Hebraic roots of Christianity, expanding this message to digital media and reaching out to those who do not yet know Christ. In 2020, the vision was enlarged again and First Century Foundations USA was launched to bring the same challenge for prayer and blessing the land and people of Israel to partners in the United States.
