Although Steve Vai is an amazingly talented guitar player,I am glad you guys tried to get closer to the original version, as in my opinion, it is so much better. Sometimes simpler and more of a bluesy simple feel sounds better and enhances the vocals. Well done Guys!!!!!!!
stevie M I am in total agreement. I much prefer Whitesnake when they started off as a blues rock band with Moody and Marsden. This cover is very much in that vein so I love it.

Anything that moves closer to the slower version is better by me. This is a fairly underrated song.
