    Aegon's dragon was bigger than Drogon by the time he came ashore.
    And at his best Balerion wouldn't have to sweat at all to crush Drogon's bones with his massive jaws.

    Nobody knows the story in the dagger; the link was broken. No one ever told Aegon about the prophecy. Also, it shouldn't be going to Arya; it should go to the Stark who's also a Targ (or Dany); someone who is a legit candidate in the running for the whole Prince Who Was Promised. This is the beginning of one of D&D's biggest eff-ups of the story's theme and symbolism. Also, Bran would presumably know the significance of the dagger, and not hand it off to Arya. But by this time, GRRM was no longer being consulted. Arya could be awesome with another dagger, but Catspaw needs to be restored to the possession of a Targaryen, or else it has no meaning, the prophecy has no meaning. D&D forgot about a lot of things, including the foreshadowing (some kept in the show) and more present in the books which they were aware of once upon a time.

  • @porterhw

    I am a forever Dany apologist and this episode cemented why. Jon advised her NOT to attack the Red Keep, so she DIDN'T. She attacked "the Spoils of War" -- all the grain and gold the Lannister Army had taken from Highgarden. Instead of violence directly against civilians, she chose to attack an ARMY with ONE of three dragons and nullify the gains the other side had taken. She rides into battle WITH her army much like the other heroes (Robb, Jon, Jaime, etc). My feelings have always been that a) she was way better at war than the other great houses and b) her ending-slavery, breaking-the-wheel, mother of the PEOPLE (not the lords or merchants) politics were a direct threat to the feudal dynastic system of which Jon and Tyrion and Varys directly benefited. I also felt at the time (this was during a lot of anti-immigrant propaganda from the Trump WH) that there was NO WAY this story was going to validate Cersei's comments about a foreign queen and "foreign screamers." But it did! and what do you know, the final episode specifically showed all of the brown Unsullied and Dothraki leaving Westeros.
    The episode (specifically the shot of dragon and Dany gliding over the water) has also always solidified for me that the Dothraki visionaries way back at the beginning were actually seeing *Dany* when they announced their prophecy for rhaego: "As swift as the wind [she] rides, and behind [her, her] khalasar covers the earth, men without number, with arakhs shining in their hands like blades of razor grass. Fierce as a storm this prince[ss] will be. H[er] enemies will tremble before h[er], and their wives will weep tears of blood and rend their flesh in grief. The bells in h[er] hair will sing h[er] coming, and the milk men in the stone tents will fear h[er] name."

    Im sorry guys, im gonna say it :(
    This is like the last really good episode of thrones. Season 7 is okay the first time you watch it because you are still hoping for that satisfying ending and while it seems rushed (characters teleporting everywhere) the story is still okay. Then you hit season 8 and its a mess. The second time you watch season 7 you realize that they had that horrible ending planned years before it aired and that makes me cry.

    • @ChannelSee1
      @ChannelSee1  4 месяца назад +4

      I can agree. We have actually finished watching already and season 8 definitely soured our opinion of season 7 a bit. Season 7 is still exciting but its pace killed the story. GoT was all about taking its time to execute the details. And they stopped doing that in the last two seasons and it hurt. 😢

    • @TheTruth-hd1pu
      @TheTruth-hd1pu 4 месяца назад +6

      Season 7 is still better than almost every other TV shows I've seen. It's better than season 1-3 of the show. The pacing is too fast but the season 1-3 maybe 4 too had some boring plotlines like the ones in season 2 that steals Daenerys dragon. I can't even recall their name because of how boring they are. The show is still my favorite of all time even with season 8 plus season 8 isn't that bad either

    • @zi1888
      @zi1888 4 месяца назад

      @@ChannelSee1 Yes they rushed the story and then rushed to close it off in season 8 leaving multiple plots unfinished, the most important being Jon Snow becoming Azor Ahai, the prince that was promised which was supposed to defeat the White Walkers. I do not know if you know the story of what happened but here is the short version.
      D&D did not want to give GoT to someone else after they lost interest. Disney offered them the Star Wars trilogy and so they rushed GoT in order to get to SW. HBO had told D&D that they could make as many seasons as they wanted and they would fund it because at the time GoT was HBO's baby. HBO was willing to throw unlimited money at it but D&D said they only needed 8 seasons. You can see how the story just rushes and ends in such a dumb way. In the end DIsney did not let D&D do SW trilogy because of how bad GoT ended and the backlash it received. The show disappeared from social media almost instantly.
