A few years ago, we had some neighbors that had moved from California to Colorado and then to Texas. Their daughter was friends with our youngest daughter and was frequently over at our house. I came home from work one evening to find a note on the front door from the neighbor that read: "Chyna will no longer be allowed on your property as long as they are guns in your house. It is completely irresponsible of you to have guns. PERIOD." So, being a good neighbor, I called the mom (who wrote the note) and asked how she knew we owned guns. She huffed and said "Your daughter told our daughter." I said "Did she also say that they were locked up in guns safes and only my wife and me had the combination?" She hung up on me so I waited until the weekend to talk to her husband Jerry. He invited me into their house and we sat down in his Man Cave (yeah...) and the first thing I noticed was a bong on the shelf and remnants of marijuana on the coffee table. He invited me to partake but I declined. I told him what had happened and he said he agreed with his wife; that his daughter would not be allowed to go to our house as long as there were weapons in the house. I thanked him and left. To reiterate- the people who forbade their daughter from entering a home with weapons in a locked safe left drugs laying around visible to the casual observer and we're bad parents? Um... Anyway, Chyna still came over.

Moved to Texas a few years ago. Took a quick road trip to drop off a car at a relatives home in LA just last weekend and I was surprised to find quite a few folk in their cars by themselves wearing masks. These series of videos hit the nail on the head for me, and I mean everything resonated, even the bug thing. When I told a relative we were moving out of state again to Texas, her response was "aren't you afraid of the racists?". That was the type of ignorance and BS I had to deal with when I left the for the last time. Texas has such an awesome culture that when we go to visit CA and hold doors open for folks people are taken back by the manners my kids have which is sad. God Bless Texas!
It still is happening in Washington state. People come to pick up groceries, in their cars, with masks on. Unbelievable. Unreal. People are still so blind.

Another brilliant production by the Babylon Bee ~ thanks for highlighting it, JP! It’s a good day because I just realized that The Babylon Bee is surpassing SNL for their audience. This is what winning looks like. ✌🏻
That's pretty neat. SNL hasn't been funny in years. It's all woke skits and sing a longs now. Mad Magazine was actually way funnier years ago. Somehow Mad didn't have near the ratings, so tried to copy SNL and totally went under. You can't beat a grifter at their own game. They should have held the line and would have gained eventually.
When I watched the episode where y'all went to the gun range, I said "That girl knows how to handle a gun. She must be an expert marksman in real life." It's very apparent that you're someone who knows how to use a weapon! Her character's remark of " where's the police sirens, helicopters" struck home. I moved out a year ago and moved to a rural area. Haven't heard a police siren or seen a police helicopter in a year. I wake up to the sounds of my neighbor's cows instead.
I've lived in Texas for 30 years and worked in California for 20years. Pretty accurate but the problem is that the California influx has upped the cost of living in Texas. California is pretty but people aren't at all friendly, very entitled.

All the time in Tennessee, some of the time in Arkansas, but 1.4 years in Texas and yet to get invited over. Come on, Texas, you gotta do better.
Like some movies when you think it’s over, and people stand up to walk out, some of the best happens. They get in the way, and we tell them to sit down because it’s not over and they do.
Californians that move to get away from the politics and understand what's going on, I welcome. Those that love California but want a cheaper version of it are the problem for other states.
At 6:55 this is so true about CA. I was talking to another east coaster like me who moved here. There are so many crazies in CA that you become wary of talking to strangers.
Wow, isn't it strange?¿? I remember (in CA) other women opening the door for me when I was like 9 months pregnant and being so surprised and then realizing wow, we just don't really help each other around here unless it is painfully obvious they need help and even then sometimes people don't... it is kinda natural for me to help everyone, but I'm the odd one out, based on what I have observed, CA born and raised.

This is why most Aussies can relate to some of this Babylon Bee series.
@@JulieS261 I know. I followed the Dan Andrews lockdown authoritarianism with horror, finding it hard to believe it was occurring in Australia. And then they reelect him just as we in California reelected our authoritarian governor..
Dude I love the way you address us the audience, stay free.
I know I loved how he addressed us. I agreed completely
I knew I was in a different place (from CA) when I walked into a Walmart at night in middle TN and the clerk came up to me, smiled, and said "Can I help you find something?"
You can really see her go through her own skit. She nearly re acting it.
She put it a lot of work and heart into it 😊
Not in Ga. We wore masks for 1 week. Never at home… good touch!
Pssst . The trick is to let them think stereotype that so they don't move there and ruin the state.
It still is happening in Washington state.
People come to pick up groceries, in their cars, with masks on.
Unbelievable. Unreal.
People are still so blind.
Californian here now Texas - I so resonate “it’s so hot and the bugs are so big” 😆
Really liked that series. Watched it several time. Wish BB would put it back out.
It's still on there. I just did a YT search: Babylon Bee Californians move to Texas. It popped right up.
@@saintejeannedarc9460 Thank you
I love the cast and writing on this video. Babylon Bee is doing a great job of using comedy to wake people up!
I love Chandler Juliet! Im so excited to see her on your channel and see her channel grow. She’s super talented and always grinding. Babylon Bee did excellent casting all around 😊
I love that whole series by Babylon Bee. I shared it with everyone I know.
Someone actually complained about the interracial relationship? Wow!
I was born and raised in California and when I moved to Texas people waived with the 2 finger raised while driving I actually thought “what do they want”? 😂😂😂 Thank God I live in Texas.
Encountered similar unexpected Friendliness in Minnesota! 💗
Is the 2 finger wave where you don’t remove your hand from the steering wheel?
I was born and raised in California too. And most of the people that ruin California were from the East Coast. You're now a transplant just like they were.
Happens in KS and OK too!
@@laurahuston2187 have you ever read a book called The Grapes of Wrath? There's an entire section in American history where people from Oklahoma and the midwest migrated elsewhere because of the Dust bowl and every other state pretty much hated anyone from the Midwest.
These were people who were starving due to Decades of utilizing the land for cropping but not putting back into the soil. It's a very ugly time in American history that not many people care to remember or compare and contrast with any other current events going on in today's world. These were Americans trueblue, who were not wanted anywhere else.
I couldn't sit that close to JP without asking to squeeze his muscles. 😆
Lolol, right!?
😂😂
Well, she did touch his shoulder. This is how affairs start.
I loved that skit. Where she and that guy went to the bqq. "The meat just fell in my mouth," as he's eating ribs
Give us more Babylon Bee and JP collabs!!!
Yes, the bugs ARE big! And ticks crawl alllll the way up so you have to check your entire body not.just your head.
I have a nephew that got bit by a tick and can’t eat beef.
We don’t panic over ticks, it’s not a common disease.
As a native Californian, I approve of this message 👍🏻
I’ve watched every episode in the series! As a past Texan, I loved it! Especially the Bucees episode! 😂😂
Oh and I’ve actually been to the Fort Worth Bucees! That’s so cool!
One of the best loughs I had with this series was the inclusion of Ted Cruz. *That* was hillarious.
“And the bugs are sooo big!!”
Greatest line
When I watched the episode where y'all went to the gun range, I said "That girl knows how to handle a gun. She must be an expert marksman in real life." It's very apparent that you're someone who knows how to use a weapon! I've actually never fired a gun, but my mother used to be a reserve police officer and she used to participate in marksman competitions and kicked ass! Love your work!
As a Texan I approve of this representation. Pretty damn accurate and just a part of why I love it here ❤
Hillarious!!!....God Bless TEXAS!!!
My in-law is from CA. He is scary very much like your characters from CA. He lived with us 5 months! Boy, did I toy with his mind.
Grown…. I took him on a (snipe) hunt!
Well, Answering the unknown origins comment, you have fans in Egypt as well 😂😂
Takes much more to squish a tick!
What an awesome video! Thanks Chandler, JP. Babylon Bee!
As a Texan I would love to see more. I absolutely loved the series and shared it.
I moved from WA to TX just before the first episode came out an the stereotypes hold up for the entire west coast.
Ticks tend to avoid flood-plains , so stay near water and you'll probably never see a tick!
They're also more numerous in natural grass. Mow, mow, mow. it makes a difference.
I am 100% on board with the tick thing. Our toy poodle became paralyzed after a tick bite. Brrrr.
I moved from 22 years in Silicon Valley to Amish country, Lancaster PA. Once I emerged from Culture Shock I loved it!
I just want to throw out there, that I was born and raised in California (67 yrs.) and not every Californian is woke, especially in the north half of the state. The majority of us are conservatives and Trump supporters.
DJT 🇺🇸👍
Hey, I’m 67- 1956 Pasadena. Living in Oregon now 20ish years👍 ...just so very heartbreaking. No woke here.
@@karencahill4798
What about Portland?
The majority of Oregon’s counties are red but the few largest counties on the coast are blue so they over-rule the entire state. 😒
@@elisaseverns2543
Yep, just like California.
@@oldschoolhawking8191 when the left talks about the “popular “ vote, I think they should look at a voting map by county all across the United States. That’s where the popular vote truly shows.
My favorite episode of the series is the one with the cameo of Ted Cruz, complete with a Zodiac reference; I was dying of laughter.
"it's so hot... and the bugs are so big...." LMAO
A very proud moment for me, our local Walmart had to change their signs on the doors during the "pandemic" to state not only are masks mandatory but they have to be cloth and cover the nose and mouth- all because I wore a batman mask and claimed that I had a mask on when confronted about needing one
Thanks so much to introducing me to Babylon Bee! I’ve been binge watching their vids ever since! I hope they produce a second series of Californians moving to Texas! These two are so complimentary to each together; they have such great chemistry!
I'm a native Californian, Hollywood in fact, but I identify as a Texan. Y'all is my favorite pronoun.
Timpani is a great character 😂
As a Californian that is moving to Texas I feel like this is so accurate. Enjoyed the laughs!
Great series by the Babylon Bee - glad you hosted Chandler on your vlog, JP!
I truly enjoyed the series done by the Bee. Truly a must watch.
My favorite news outlet is "BABYLON BEE".
Loved this! I’ve watched the California/Texas video many times, it’s hilarious! I’d love to see JP on a Babylon Bee video! ❤
“The bugs are so big!!”
Gun-loving-bug-hating woman. Me too!
I saved them to show hubby. We laughed so hard! Great stuff!
In Florida people hold doors for anyone regardless of gender
Very funny! But other bugs carry Lyme disease. Not just ticks. I should know as I have chronic Lyme disease. It’s horrible.
Lovely. As a foreigner always wanted to visit California, change of heart. Think I'm relocating to Texas.
Guys, I'm not even close to living near y'all, I've always lived in Brazil and even so I still have a great time watching you all!!!
I’ve watched that series so many times. 🤣
Also I love Steve! He needs to made a BB regular. 🤣
Love how Chandler keep telling her lines while watching the video and almost acting it still haha
So Wise , Thank You . That was such a fine reminder of GOOD HUMOR
The way she keeps the mask on her forehead looooool
When she said Tiffany She/her, I thought that was her last name . Never heard that anyone say that where I live...yet....
It should be a TV show!
I always smash the bugs in one hit! Never give them a second chance.
After living 65 years in California (born raised) i left actually two weeks shy of turning 65, bought me a house in Arkansas. Went back to visit all my kids after 8 months of leaving. My gosh so many stupid angry people
My fave episode was the gun range, and how hooked Tympany became.
Her expressions are so good. I just loved that series.
I moved to Texas from Tennessee via Arkansas. I was disappointed in how friendly people were, sure they would say hi, but I have yet to get invited over to another Texan's house. All the time in Tennessee, some of the time in Arkansas, but 1.4 years in Texas and yet to get invited over.
Come on, Texas, you gotta do better.
Chandler is such a beauty and her sense of humor is icing in the cake.
This is amazing a pair of normal people exposing a real issue that is fantastic I need to find that bee kudos real people
The last few seconds were often the best part of each segment.
Remember, y'all is singular, all y'all is plural. 🤣👍
That would be a legendary series, JP as his awaken life coach character and Tympani she/her.
I love the bug in my hair, you guys are so authentic
She really IS a good actress. She plays the ditzy parts so well. Glad they were so inclusive of Texans.
Great cross over!! I have seen all there videos about the Californians. Awesome!
The gun range episode is great!
