    very excitingly and beautifully written for the strings and the piano, the more I listen the more I like it. The performers are absolutely convincing with the right balance of rhythm, lyricism an dynamics.

    Powerful writing in this beautifully dramatic composition. The more I hear of Jacob's wonderful music, the more apparent it is how particularly strong his writing for string orchestra was in concertante pieces like this. The final Allegro is the longest movement of the concerto and features mighty piano playing from Mark Bebbington....
