It is possible to activate your "retail" non steam copy of ETS2 on steam by using the actual CD KEY of the game. Did it myself and works flawlessly. Just wanted to throw it out for those who might have my same problem :D

'Excuse the Frame rate' no need to excuse you for that, the lag you had at Rotterdam is my lag anywhere else. The lag that I get in rotter dam slows my frame rate to 2! It also takes me about three minutes to reach 55 when I am in Rotterdam, you must have one hell of a computer...

Very interesting video, especially your thoughts on the future of ETS2MP. Perhaps SCS would bring this into the game itself and keep the current MP team working more closely with them. The more I play ETS2, the more potential I think it has. They could introduce, for example, jobs available for only certain trucks (because yours isn't powerful enough to haul a tank), have a penalty point system for all the speeding offences/car crash collisions (although the AI would need some work), make the economy tougher so that we weren't all rolling in money, improve the AI so that it doesn't travel at exactly the speed limit but +/-15% etc.. Anyway, you get the idea and I am looking forward to the future of ETS2.

Squirrel, it's really easy to tip a truck on ETS, I've did that many times. Basically, you need to turn hard either left or right, probably at 40 MPH speed (64 km/h) or higher and/or use retarder at the same time using regular brakes and turn left or right and it tips.

When it try to lauch Multiplayer it stands Unsuported game version detected! To play ETS2MP you need to have ETS2 1.12.1s (steam release)! But i have it in that version Any help?

Only down side I can see is fellow players skill levels. While that crash at the dock was hilarious, it would also be VERY frustrating. I strive to arrive damage free and would be looking out for co-players as well. Granted some of the AI vehicles can be very stupid, it seems that humans still take the cake for Artificial Stupidity. Love the video and very helpful in getting started. I've logged 3,000 hrs on single player now and thought I might venture onto multiplayer.
squirrel said you needed to go get your own truck, i also recommend using JBNL's money cheat because people who troll will screw you over and you will be poor in no time so.. get JBNL's money cheat, buy a truck and then you can log on to multiplayer and just properly play.. :D
Idk if someone said this already, if you exit a non collision zone while someone is inside your truck/trailer, it will just fuck up like in the video, so always make sure that there ain't no one inside you while exiting the non collision zone :)

At the end, you were in a non collision zone, and that fella was in you, so when you both drove out of the zone, you were still in each other's trucks, which is why he ended up under you
You can disable auto update in Steam. That way you can play ETS2MP untill the second they support the new patch (then you update your ETS). It's not always a 2 day waiting period :)
Great video I don't play euro truck sim atm but I'm gonna get a pc soon and will play this with. A g27 I can't wait to play it it looks like so much fun I can't wait to play it

SCS should team up with the MP team as Multiplayer increased their sales. It should be the same for ATS

I was in that Europort mayhem, it took me about half an hour and 2 attempts to get to the port. I was just a couple truck lengths behind Squirrel.
I don't have ETS, but I'm watching anyway, hope to get it someday, don't have a good PC.
as long as you don't have a potato for a PC, it should run okay at low settings. I get about 10-20 fps on my lemon of a laptop.

In the command line you can write "-nointro", it skips the intro to the login screen which saves a bit of time.
