@@paikoateacat Hi! Yes, I have a tic where I slam my hand onto my chest. Sometimes I hit my throat which does cause me pain. I’ve had people hold my hand down which does help a bit. It does get annoying given the day or the person that is holding my fist down, however. Since I don’t have Tourette’s, (I have OCD tics), this may be different for me. But you can train yourself to stop doing tics given your circumstances. (My doctor’s words). It does depend on the person who is holding down my fist or trying to stop the tic, but I would say that it does get annoying. Again, I am speaking on personal experience and every person may be different. But I would say that the best thing to do is just to completely ignore the person’s tic. If they make a comment like “ow” it’s safe to ask if they are alright, acknowledging the tic. So no, I advise you to not stop it. P.S, tics don’t just hurt in general. The only reason they would hurt is if you jerked your head and popped your neck or if you like me, got hurt on impact. Thank you for your question ❤️

I'm so glad to hear this. I just stumbled upon another video of yours a couple minutes ago, where you had ticks with rice and I got rice. And... it made me laugh. I just thought that the way you say it is really funny, especially because it's not a planned thing. But I did feel bad laughing about it as well, because I imagine it must be annoying at times to have the ticks just happening, without being able to do anything about it. It's not nice to laugh about something like that. But the rice line is just... funny. So I was feeling very conflicted / guilty about it. So... yeah. I'm glad to hear that you think it's ok to laugh at the funny, not harmful/painful ones, like the rice. The chest pounding on the other hand wasn't funny at all. I hope it isn't as bad as it sounds / looks and you don't hurt yourself badly when having ticks like that.
"I got rice" "Oh yeah? Where's mine?!" 😅 I'm 100% that friend that would respond to your funny tics, and do what I can to help make the serious ones safer. ❤

I had a friend with Tourette’s growing up. I say don’t laugh until you are close with the person and know that they’re okay with it and also respect their emotions. Tourette’s can be funny, but it can also be a lot on a human and even things that may seem funny one day can really bother that person the next day. Respect above all should be your go to response.
I remember my friend told me he has tics, and I started making jokes, not knowing it was bad. But I was making jokes about how wrong certain ticks can be timed if that makes sense. He was laughing too and was even joining in on the joke. It was fun, but now looking back, I hope I wasn't pressuring him to laugh. He would laugh first, so I just thought it was okay.
I have a ticing disorder and I feel you. If I just make a funny sound its fine, but when im creepy laughing until I have no breth left, but can't breath in ... Im really scared in thoose moments
I love your "I'm Friendly" cause it makes me think of myself. I only have physical movement ticks, and I tend to smack myself hard. I get looks all the time and I just want to tell them that "I'm friendly, I don't hate myself!" Yours makes me think your brain might want to tell others the same. 😊😊😊 Much love to you!
Something to keep in mind there are people like me who laugh when there uncomfortable. I can't help it if it's the wrong place sometimes I apologize if there's room to apologize.
I have to admit, I giggled one day when, during a live, she began shouting something like "here come the communists!" I'm Deaf and rely on captions, so it kept starting perfectly normal sentences, then would say whatever it was about the communists, and then Keep going like nothing happened. It's hard not to giggle when someone says a sentence like "So I've got some great ideas about new topics for videos coming THE COMMUNISTS ARE COMING up in the next few months..." like, it's not really funny bc we know you must be really stressed for it to be happening, but also... come on. It's objectively funny.
My mom's sympathetic nervous system was shot, she had dystonic spasms all throughout her body... She said we taught her to laugh instead of cry... And when things were worse I told it was going to be ok and she chose to believe me... The power of laughter and positivity is very powerful.
My best friend has a tic disorder, and since we worked together all summer, I got used to hearing her say a specific verbal tic. At one point, my brain being broken decided to imitate her. We have a running gag between us when either of us did something we couldn't explain, we would say, "Brain said..." She actually thought that my imitations were welcome and that it normalized her tics when she's with me.
Need to remember that sometimes people can't hide their reactions. I really love her attitude. She doesn't play victim. I like how she explains it and doesn't immediately attack people. She seems fun to be around.
I felt this way when I used to not have great control of my autistic stims. I was good at being quiet with them, but not when I felt I "needed" to do it. I used to randomly kind of sing-say the letters "E", "H", and "M" in different ways and tones whenever I was happy or confused or frustrated. It made a lot of people smile for no reason, and since it was just me blowing off mental/emotional steam, I didn't mind if they thought it was funny. It was slightly awkward, but it was low-key a win-win situation. At least for me! I'm very aware autism and tourette's are two totally different experiences.
@@-_-Potato_Wedge-_-she does. You can tell she actually has Tourette’s because she doesn’t switch up her tics and it often interrupts her and it usually stays as “I got rice” or “huh”.

Thank you so much for sharing about this. I’ve never met someone in person who has Tourette’s so it’s nice to have some knowledge about it when the time comes.
There was a boy in my 4th grade class who had a pretty bad case, and the teacher on his first day introduced us all and then said that today was a fun day to just do an art project and we were going to listen to our new friend. That day was full of laughter because his ticks were a lot of swear words, but after that it was just normal for us to hear random things in the classroom. He was so sweet.
my online friend has tourettes. but i can't be in any voice calls with her, because i have echolalia. my echolalia triggers her tourettes, and i compulsively want to echo them back. it is The Worst.
also she helped me learn the difference between tics and echolalia. she said that tics are sort of like a sneeze- you can feel them coming, and they're involuntary. But for me, echolalia is kind of like the feeling you get when you pick up a pair of tongs. Theoretically, you could not click them- its a voluntary action. But sometimes i just do it subconsciously. I gotta do the click. And if she says bingo, i have to say it The Exact Same
My friend has tics a lot and theyre often a but silly and we often laugh together about them, or if its something like "shes a bitch" (yk direct ones like theyre talking) its silly to just respond dead serious. The issue arises because i have adhd and i have OFTEN begun mirroring tics (specifically this one where i bob my chin up amd my neck back) and now whenever i think about it it happens. Its not an actual tic but when i think about it its like an impulse/stim and its like itchy lol
Thankyou for the explaination , I was a bit conflicted on not wanting to be mean when talking or joking about it . Much love to you and your awesome rice , uncle rodger would approve 💖💖
I have the same rule because usually I’m laughing and I made this rule because at first it was yeah you can laugh at my tics but then, when I smashed my head on a keyboard in class people laugh, and then ask if I’m OK so now it’s as long as I’m not in pain, you can laugh because I’m usually laughing too awesome I love your channel even though I don’t have Tourette’s I have a tic disorder Slightly different but they have a lot of common, so I really like your channel

i get a little saddened when i see a person who has the self-inflicting harm tic and everytime i see you punch your chest, i get sad. But i do think some of your tics are rather funny, harmless and downright adorable! Keep being you girl, and keep your rice on deck!
I don't have tics, but I stim a lot, often vocally. there is a difference between joining in on the situation and just being mean. personally I'd prefer people making light hearted jokes about something specific I've said than be weird about something I've done, and I hope that I come across as supportive and kind to others the same way I want people to be treating me. especially in situations I have little to no control over

Do you have any tics where you hurt yourself? If so, would it be better for someone to try to stop you from doing it or should they let it happen?
Again this is a genuine question. I'm not trying to offend anyone.
@@LUC4_L3TH4LLL thank you so much. This is possibly the most helpful reply I have ever gotten on anything... Like ever.
I hope everything goes well for you and just have a great day/night
Thank you! ❤️
I don’t care if anyone laughs at my tics, I always laugh at my own. It’s definitely a laughing with me and not at me situation 😂
It’s funnier now that I know the reason behind the tic, basically a tic mocking her ex 😭
I’m happy she always has rice for us.
😊
I think that’s a great way to explain it, and to clarify
Bruh when she flipped me off outta nowhere I started cracking up.
You’re a great person. I love your explanation - it makes so much sense. ❤
I met someone who would meow and it made me so genuinely happy every time I heard it.
omg that's amazing
"I got rice"
"Oh yeah? Where's mine?!"
😅
I'm 100% that friend that would respond to your funny tics, and do what I can to help make the serious ones safer. ❤
I just love, “I GOT RICE!” It adds a lot of personality to your character and makes you, you. ❤❤

Guys I can't tell if she actually has tics or not can you tell me if she does
I love the I got rice tic u have 😂
"I GOT RICE!" Is the most iconic tics
I had a friend with Tourette’s growing up. I say don’t laugh until you are close with the person and know that they’re okay with it and also respect their emotions. Tourette’s can be funny, but it can also be a lot on a human and even things that may seem funny one day can really bother that person the next day. Respect above all should be your go to response.
My favorite is when she flipped us off, that just got me 😊
Edit: OMG MOM IM FAMOUS
I remember my friend told me he has tics, and I started making jokes, not knowing it was bad. But I was making jokes about how wrong certain ticks can be timed if that makes sense. He was laughing too and was even joining in on the joke. It was fun, but now looking back, I hope I wasn't pressuring him to laugh. He would laugh first, so I just thought it was okay.
I have a ticing disorder and I feel you. If I just make a funny sound its fine, but when im creepy laughing until I have no breth left, but can't breath in ... Im really scared in thoose moments
The flipping us off always gets me😂
I love your "I'm Friendly" cause it makes me think of myself. I only have physical movement ticks, and I tend to smack myself hard. I get looks all the time and I just want to tell them that "I'm friendly, I don't hate myself!" Yours makes me think your brain might want to tell others the same. 😊😊😊 Much love to you!
Honestly, I’m glad to know you got me. You seem chill.
Something to keep in mind there are people like me who laugh when there uncomfortable. I can't help it if it's the wrong place sometimes I apologize if there's room to apologize.
"i got rice" is the best and most unice touretts tic in my opinion
You’re an absolute angel. Thank you for sharing this!
I have to admit, I giggled one day when, during a live, she began shouting something like "here come the communists!"
I'm Deaf and rely on captions, so it kept starting perfectly normal sentences, then would say whatever it was about the communists, and then Keep going like nothing happened.
My partner and I both have autism and I also have adhd.
We use "my brain told me..." a lot lol.
Or "the call of the void/weird"
The timing on "if its something funny that i said *i got rice*" was so on point 😂
The way you say I’ve got rice is almost like your offended about that rice or the rice offended you somehow 😂
* huh 🖕* most beautiful words ever
She doesn’t have Tourettes
@@-_-Potato_Wedge-_-she does. You can tell she actually has Tourette’s because she doesn’t switch up her tics and it often interrupts her and it usually stays as “I got rice” or “huh”.
people with Tourette's dont have a tic every second. also when you talk about tics you most likely not have a tic because of how your brain works. also if you had Tourette's would you make it your entire personality or would you just try and live past it? @@Zackie.
@@-_-Potato_Wedge-_- she isn’t having them any second and her channel is awnsering questions about Tourettes. She cuts the video, in between, and she doesn’t make it her whole personality.
@@-_-Potato_Wedge-_-"people with tourette's don't have a tic every second" she cuts the video and ppls tics come at different intensities 💀💀
I love how she was talking about the funny tics being fine then proceeded to do her most iconic funny tic twice.
Gotta appreciate the timing of the ticks that come in to show examples to what you're saying.
I think you should also always ask this, if it’s another person. Everybody has different boundaries:)
She has the rice✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
The real question is…. Does she really got rice?
The "flip the bird" tic could not have been timed any better. 😂
As an Asian, I'm proud of her.
What if you are hurting yourself should we step in and like hold your arms away from you or just let it take it’s course?
“I got RICE!” 😂😂😂 love it
I loved the casual 'I got rice' xD
Nah I can't be the only one that thought the first tic was the actual response lol
my online friend has tourettes. but i can't be in any voice calls with her, because i have echolalia. my echolalia triggers her tourettes, and i compulsively want to echo them back. it is The Worst.
also she helped me learn the difference between tics and echolalia. she said that tics are sort of like a sneeze- you can feel them coming, and they're involuntary. But for me, echolalia is kind of like the feeling you get when you pick up a pair of tongs. Theoretically, you could not click them- its a voluntary action. But sometimes i just do it subconsciously. I gotta do the click. And if she says bingo, i have to say it The Exact Same
I also have tourettes❤❤❤
"Huh" *flips us off*
Thanks for clearing the air.
Based and honestly your i got rice and huh tics make me smile, it lightens the mood
the tone of "i got rice" is perfect I love it
You dont know how many times ive had to say “sorry i have tourettes” 😭
That first tick of flipping is off was so well timed by your subconscious. Thsts litwrally pure comedy gold right there 😂
My friend has tics a lot and theyre often a but silly and we often laugh together about them, or if its something like "shes a bitch" (yk direct ones like theyre talking) its silly to just respond dead serious. The issue arises because i have adhd and i have OFTEN begun mirroring tics (specifically this one where i bob my chin up amd my neck back) and now whenever i think about it it happens. Its not an actual tic but when i think about it its like an impulse/stim and its like itchy lol
The laughing little “ha” then flipping me off lightened my mood so much
Thankyou for the explaination , I was a bit conflicted on not wanting to be mean when talking or joking about it . Much love to you and your awesome rice , uncle rodger would approve 💖💖
The lil laugh and flipping off nobody made me chuckle
The "ha" combined with the middle finger made me chuckle
It's good that you addressed that, because some people really think it's funny when people are in physical pain
.
Just discovered your channel and I was not ready for the first "I got rice"
“ I got rice” it’s just too funny to me. I don’t know why, but how she said it really got me.
The "i got rice" one i would get used to. But i think id laugh every single time you flipped the bird
Were tf did "i got rice" even come from!?! 😂😂😂 i wasnt even trying to not laugh, i was doing fine and hearing you, then the last "i got rice" came and... it just hit me! 😂
It’s hard to know wheather these influencers genuinely have torrettes or not. (Not saying she’s lying at all) but it’s sad that there’s so many people out there lying that people end up questioning actual people affected
Ngl that ”i got rice„ is cute ♥️😂🙏
i get a little saddened when i see a person who has the self-inflicting harm tic and everytime i see you punch your chest, i get sad. But i do think some of your tics are rather funny, harmless and downright adorable! Keep being you girl, and keep your rice on deck!
I love the "i got rice"😂
My best friend has a tic that goes “do you want some fuckin mashed potatoes?” In an Irish accent and I love it so much
I love that 😂❤
I don't have tics, but I stim a lot, often vocally. there is a difference between joining in on the situation and just being mean. personally I'd prefer people making light hearted jokes about something specific I've said than be weird about something I've done, and I hope that I come across as supportive and kind to others the same way I want people to be treating me. especially in situations I have little to no control over
