@@PJ-sv4iwHey JP i’m just saying he could have saved a couple hundred dollars. and i am salty since apple didn’t want to do much for us ipad mini enthusiasts.
@@IntegraDIYactually it’s only $50 more for an ipad mini 6 256gb ($550) vs ipad mini 7 256gb ($600) and as you said a faster and better version, it’s only a bad upgrade if you previously had an ipad mini 6
I’m not surprised that this is just a “spec bump”. It got a full redesign for the 6. I bought it and still love it to this day. I use it as part of an EDC and am still very happy with the performance. Everyone complaining about this version is looking for the pro features. Buy an iPad Pro. The mini is a niche product and no professional will be doing work on a screen this small. It’s perfect for content consumption viewing photos and checking emails. Stuff like that. I’ll hold on to my six and will upgrade when the OLED version comes out. Thanks for the review Noah.
The iPad mini is appropriate for anyone working W2 job, the people asking for Pro features just don’t wanna leave Apple for those features that Android already has available lol
I'd like to see a bit nicer display (OLED for content consumption at night, getting slightly brighter and much dimmer, as well as 90-120Hz refresh rate.) Was also like he mentioned, a bit disappointment to not see a more power efficient chip. It's an acceptable refresh, but I'd like to see a little bit more. If I had to pick a single extra thing it'd be A18 instead of A17 Pro. I still may sell my Air 4 and accessories to trade for a Mini 7. We'll see.
Had no idea about Final Cut on this. That’s pushed me over the edge to upgrade from my 6th gen. I was using a Pro iPad only for Final Cut and it felt too big and overkill for that one thing. This has me super stoked now!
Coming from the mini 5 the side bezels on the newer models drive me insane. I get we have more screen size but those side bezels at least vertically make it seem like you dont. Or the screen just seems less wide vertical.
good on you for calling out the lack of 2nd Gen 3nm chip tech. I have a feeling this thing will run hot due to the overclocking issues with the A17 chip (I hope im wrong here though) A18 would have made much more sense to me
