I had a laugh with the Rod Stewart album and for me as well I enjoy the 80s Rod Stewart as fun guilty pleasures and my oh my that hilarious Russell Mulcahy directed video for tonight I'm yours (don't hurt me) is so funny who knew a year later he'd be doing Duran Duran and many other iconic videos for the 80s and little feat are among one of my favorite American bands feats don't fail me now and time loves a hero are my favourites
Ah, Russell Mulcahy, now there's a blast from the past! Little Feat are fantastic - lots of delights scattered throughout their albums. Thanks for watching! 🙏
Don’t get rid of the Brothers Johnson just yet!! Highly entertaining video , and I strongly urge you to show us the One Track Wonders. Tonight I’m Yours (don’t hurt me)… 😂🤪
Pretty gutsy by Rod having a palm tree on the cover background that has a better hairdo than he does 😆 Sounds like you shouldnt let mindbomb go. Sly is a must keep - no doubt. Brothers J, well I'll just have to let you know 🤣 Little Feat is a must keep. The Gurges are a must keep. There is more than enough fodder in your collection to go a healthy one shot wonder album show - get recording, BUT there are some other albums you need to consider I reckon.....Clouds??? Tears for Fears have a coule of great songs and there are a lot of memories with that song. Enough to make you keep it??? Hmmm. Rain Parade. Yeah Naaahhh. Thanks for the assessment. Now git recording that one shot wonder piece. Cheers Bra
Haha! Love the Rod S line, awesome! Hope you like the Brothers J. Tears for Fears is purged also. I've done a standalone video on The Clouds, I know how much you love them. Starting to think about the one track video... Cheers! 🙏
Your favorite band is The Church? Not sure where you are located, but did you happen to catch them this past summer on tour with The Afghan Whigs? Reason I mention, I think you'd enjoy the whigs they are my favorite band since 1990. Great video btw.
Thanks for joining in! I'm in Australia and, funnily enough, I'm seeing The Church this weekend. I'm not familiar with The Afghan Whigs, but will definitely have a listen. What would you suggest is a good album to start with? Cheers, appreciate it! 🙏
@@TheInstituteofPop Love Australia. Have several friends there. For the Whigs I suggest the 1994 album Gentlemen and 1998's "1965" Then switch to Twilight Singers (Same lead Greg Dulli) Blackberry Belle from 2005. Greg and the lead singer from The church are really good friends and collaborators. cheers!
Purge Mindbomb, I thought it was pretty average, Dusk is impossible to find. Trust is underrated, keep.... I could lose that Rod..but its ok, its everywhere in the UK for a pound. That Associates is pretty fantastic, but I could lose it as I have the two 12" singles, its Bjorks favourite album. Coincidentally that Johnson Brothers is an album i love for one track 'Strawberry Letter 23' ..lose! Do the one track video,
Thanks so much for sharing your insights and thoughts. I didn’t know that about Bjork and The Associates, wow, but kinda makes sense! Unfortunately, my copy of the Brothers Johnson album doesn’t have SL23, less reason to keep. Cheers!

I'll definitely give it another spin! Thanks for the encouragement (and for not hurting me. It takes a lot for me to own up to liking that song)! 😲
