No more Disfellowshipping in Norway?!

  • Jehovah's Witnesses in Norway lost a major government grant due to their practise of shunning. And Antony Morris stated that they would never change this practise.
However... in a aplication from Jørgen Pedersen on behalf of the Jehovah Witness in Norway they stated that they are aware of the rules and that they will obey these rules.
Does this mean Antony Morris lied to the rank and file Jehovah Witnesses?
Or that Jørgen Pedersen lied to the Norwegian Government?
And if Jehovah Witnesses lied to the government to obtain monetary gain, would not this constitute fraud?
The legaislation that JW.org are violating is the §6 that states:'
"If a religious or philosophical society, or individuals acting on behalf of this society, commit violence or coercion, make threats, violate children's rights, violate statutory prohibitions against discrimination, or otherwise seriously violate the rights and freedoms of others, the community may be denied grants or grants may be truncated. Grants may also be refused or truncated if the community encourages or supports violations mentioned in this subsection." (translated by Goatlike Personality)
Jehovah Witnesses in Norway have now publicly stated that they will follow this legislation in the future. This would mean that JW will no longer practise disfellowshipping when this violate the human rights of others.

There's only a few words that can truly connect freedom with religion, and "from" seems to fit better than any other, you can be free from religion. The word "of" cannot be used to any real effect considering that the main goal of all religion is ultimately to deny freedom. Freedom of religion is just freedom for religious leaders to destroy our freedoms, but it's depicted as 'progress' by the ruling classes.
Anyone who wants power can only really have it by extinguishing everyone elses. Therefore, anyone striving for power does not, and most probably never will hold the interests of others as their own, rather ax an obstacle.

He was covertly filmed buying 8-$900. of the liquor not long ago at an out of state liquor shop. He had to wheel it out to his car in a shopping cart. Self control, self discipline & balance with all things is healthy both mentally & physically. I learned only recently of their requirement to sign a Vow of Obedience & Poverty that members, ministerial servants, elders, overseers, missionaries & anyone that chose to pioneer but members of the Governing Body still live in luxury & draw outside income from rental properties, stocks & other businesses. Like Mark Stephen Lett owns many such rental properties in Alabama & since it has become easy to access public records he recently signed a percentage of not more than fifty percent of some of them over to his wife & some to a son & some to his brother, yet in classic contradictory fashion they abstain from shunning celebrity members that have continued to make fortunes publicly & quite blatantly break policies. It just has every evidence of a cult.

"This is actually huge because if Watchtower does indeed end the shunning policy in Norway, effective 2023. The question will be what about other countries with JWs around the world and it's impact?
How can an organization have one set of policy in one country and another set of policy in another?
This does not seem very harmonious per JWs claim of a harmonious world wide organization.
Will Watchtower produce future alternative publications, talks and lessons in reference of shunning for Norway exclusive to the territory?
If other countries are to keep the shunning policy. How will Watchtower move forward to hide Watchtower's comply with Norway's legislation?
Can this spark the beginning of the end for Watchtower as they may have to globally change their shunning policy?
Lastly, I detect inevitable New Light Coming! But is it from Jehovah God or The Norwegian Government?"

Back in the early 80s they used to treat unbaptized associates including minors exactly the same as baptized, I remember the announcements at the congregation, I remember one mother whose daughter was announced to be shunned then shortly after when Watchtower was taken to court by some over the issue, behold, they had new light and she was told she didn't have to shun her daughter any more. The reason they have got away with shunning baptized members is by claiming that they can because in effect by becoming baptized you enter a legal contract but it is promising that this is now being challenged and with some success in Norway

This reminds me of how back in the 80s or 90s the Watchtower told the government in Bulgaria they would no longer disfellowship anyone for accepting a blood transfusion. And at the same time they declared that anyone accepting a blood transfusion was automatically disassociating themselves. Or a few years later when under pressure I think in Australia, they printed something in the Watchtower that made it sound like voting was purely a personal choice, a conscience matter, and then immediately had the C.O.s make it clear that voting was still not allowed. They are masters of talking ou of both sides of their mouths.

Thank you for a very informative & quite delightful presentation. Must say I slightly envy you in your paradise on earth. I love your goats also & the patient way you care for them. You have a good heart. I am thankful to listen to you & see your kind face. I would so enjoy your presence if you ever decide to hop across the pond & wander into Tennessee. Would treat you to delicious home cooking & the beautiful southern music of both Memphis & Nashville. I live thirty minutes north of Memphis & have a daughter & son n law & nine month old grandson in Nashville. I very much enjoy your pleasant accent & hope you could understand my southern drawl. There were several policies of the JW’s that never felt right & I couldn’t get any direct scriptural answers to many questions like why Jesus gave the disciples the parable of the prodigal son & the shepherd who left his ninety nine sheep to go find the one lost. And how Jesus exemplified the caring for the needs of the elderly, the sick & the widows & not to exasperate the children but instead teach by example & patience. And how could the destruction of the family unit be Christian. It was one who claimed to be anointed that tore my family apart & sent my parents into depression & stressful grief. And tho I have been disfellowshipped since 1992, my firstborn son was never baptized but did attend meetings & assemblies & participated at meetings & in field service till he was ten. But when my son was diagnosed with terminal cancer & had only weeks of life left they refused to talk to him or pray with him. That expelled all doubt I had that they were Christlike at all. And it’s common doctrine that money is the root of all things evil, & yet they continually ask for more & more, but offer no food, clothing or housing for their members in need. Thank you & I look forward to seeing & listening to you again.

The Governing Body demands absolute obedience, and those who are not obedient will be disfellowshipped. It is a question they ask any witnesses who are questioning their leadership and the wrong answer will result in disfellowshipment. Their rules of absolutes fly in the face of Gods own command written in Psalms 146:3,4 -"Do not put your trust in princes nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation. 4 His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; On that very day his thoughts perish."
There wasn't a witness one that couldn't quote scripture and text by heart when I was a member. I guess in reality, it's basically an insignificant command from God to the organisation. Very strange.
