Story :
Raju (Chiranjeevi) is a do-gooder who helps his co-workers in a Visakhapatnam shipyard, but when his mother suffers a paralytic stroke, he moves back to Hyderabad and looks for a job.
Uma Devi (Nagma) daughter of industrialist Bapineedu (Raogopal Rao) takes over the business from her father and helps it to reach new heights which also sees her head-strong ways reach new heights. In this scenario, she not only rejects Ranganayakulu's (Kaikala Satyanarayana) son's marriage proposal but insults them when the father-son duo show up at her house. To get their revenge, they send goons to kill Uma Devi. As fate would have it, Bapineedu shows up in the car instead of Uma Devi and is rescued by Raju who asks him for a job which Bapineedu readily agrees to. Raju wins over the employees in no time and takes on the high-handedness of Uma Devi and her management. This leads to constant conflict and Uma Devi decides to marry Raju so that he will not interfere anymore. To this end she plays an emotional blackmail game with Raju's mother and eventually makes Raju agrees to marry her. But Raju continues to trouble her even after marriage. Uma Devi's secretary, Bhavani (Vani Viswanath) is also a friend of Raju which leads to jealousy. In the meantime, Ranganayakulu with the help of Uma Devi's manager Sarangapani (Ahuti Prasad) schemes against Uma Devi to sabotage her factory. The rest of film deals with how Raju thwarts the schemes of Ranganayakulu and teaches Uma Devi to be humble.

This is one of the Masterpiece of Legend Dr. Raj "ANURAGA ARALITU" in Telugu chiranjeevi , in Tamil rajini & in Hindi Anil kapoor done the remakes all were super hits, but Telugu version made huge money just because it was released in Karnataka too...

kannada version is based on the novel called anuraga aralithu...and more over plot of seetha ramulu and anuraga aralithu is completely different...whereas in wiki gharana mogudu page its shown that its the remake of kannada anuraga aralithu...

Chiru Master's greatest blockbuster of all time, this was dubbed in Malayalam and released in 1994 as Hey Hero. All the songs still remain chartbusters especially the song Bangaru kodi petta. sachin redy Yes chiranjeevi shouldn't be compared with Dr Rajkumar. Bcos both actors belong to different generations. There's a age difference too. Both actors had different audience. Rajkumar was known for more of classic movies, mythogical characters , historical characters etc where Rajkumar gave life to characters. Whereas Chiranjeevi is seen more mass movies, with mesmerising Smile and dance, childlike expressions etc. So both are different and my request is don't compare both. Though gharana mogudu is a remake Chiranjeevi presented movie in different way. Whereas in Kannada it's completely a classic movie with no masalas and in turn Anuraga aralithu was adopted from novel Anuragada anthahpura. So in kannada version novelstic effect can be felt. But in telugu and tamil it's completely filmy. Whenever Rajkumar, Rajnikanth and chiranjeevi are compared with each other I feel like laughing. All are known for unique acting style so whoever comparing pls stop doing same.

That first song is very good. It should be redone with today's tech. Infact most good ones pre Rehman should be remastered or redone. Guys accept it! The sound quality was horrendous but the effort was there. We deserve the classics with better sound.
