      Yeah, I still can't get over that. Problem is that it would've been SO EASY to make that battle scene look cool. They could've either a) outnumbered the D with the Duras' BoP, two K'Vort-class BoPs, and a K'Tinga and have the D shot to hell after finally taking them all out; or b) had SOMEBODY in dialogue explain that they kept switching shield frequencies but couldn't understand how the Duras' disruptors kept changing frequencies to match. Data would've figured out it had to have been Geordi's visor, quickly ordered him to toss it off and destroy it, then they could've zeroed in on the BoP and taken it out (of course, by then the D's engines are damaged beyond repair). See? Same result, but here are at least two paths to that result that don't insult the viewers' intelligence.

They were probably commanding starships in fleets with their father when they were teenagers. That would be how you keep a house strong in Klingon culture. No weak points to strike at. To see how easily the duras bird of prey was disabled by a tractor beam but in Generations it was enough to destroy the Enterprise even with shields down. The Enterprise should’ve been destroyed at least fighting against a D’Deridex warbird or a Vorcha Attack cruiser, not a B’rel scout ship

    • @Dan-vo7vc

      @jonathanward7320 Год назад

      @@Dan-vo7vc no it’s not, it’s a D-12 class bird of prey which is a variant of the B’rel class. That’s the ship they were on in Generations so you would assume it’s the same ship here as this event happens shortly before the battle at Veridian 3.

      @@stevenstrain283 are you saying that the bird of prey couldn’t fire weapons once it was held in a tractor beam? The Enterprise was being held by a Borg cubes tractor beam and it was still able to fire a fully volley of phasers and torpedoes.
