Hadith speaks for itself really, it is clearly Bida.
      Sahih Bukhari - Book 78, Hadith 140
      Narrated Zaid bin Thabit:
Allah's Messenger made a small room (with a palm leaf mat). Allah's Messenger came out (of his house) and prayed in it. Some men came and joined him in his prayer. Then again the next night they came for the prayer, but Allah's Messenger delayed and did not come out to them. So they raised their voices and knocked the door with small stones (to draw his attention). He came out to them in a state of anger, saying, "You are still insisting (on your deed, i.e. Tarawih prayer in the mosque) that I thought that this prayer (Tarawih) might become obligatory on you. So you people, offer this prayer at your homes, for the best prayer of a person is the one which he offers at home, except the compulsory (congregational) prayer."

To all the people here criticizing Dr. Zakir Naik, I ask you: have you no shame? This is a man who loves Allah(SWT) and his Prophet(S) and proves that by frequently engaging in dawah and public acts of worship. He is someone who has been the cause of MANY being guided to the faith. He has memorized the entire Qur'an and probably all the ahadith as well. What have you done? Who are you to criticize him? Seek refuge in Allah and repent for what you have said. BACKBITING IS HARAM and now you are backbiting about someone who is likely very beloved to our Lord(And Allah(SWT) knows best). If you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all. Zakir Naik is not going to read these comments so what is the point? Who are you benefiting? Have some respect. Islam is not being mean and judgmental, so set your priorities straight.

❓Question : How many rakaats are there in Taraweeh?
🔷Answer : There are two opinions in this regard
The first group deals with the opinions of present-day scholars :
    ●Zakir Naik - 8 rakaats
    ●Shiekh Yasir Qadhi - 8 rakaats
    ●Shiekh Musleh Khan- 8 rakaats
    ●Shiekh Albaani - 8 rakaats
The second group deals with the verdicts of the _Caliphs and the Sahabah_ who learnt from Rasoolallah (saw) directly and actually prayed with him.
    ●Umar (ra) - 20 rakaats
    ●Uthmaan (ra)- 20 rakaats
    ●Ali (ra)-20 rakaats
➡ Both groups claim to be correct, but only *ONE* was endorsed by the Prophet Muhammad (saw) himself -
"Follow my way *_and the way of the rightly guided Caliphs!!_* Adhere to it and cling onto it strongly!"
    -Muhammad (ص)

In regards to the Unseen, we totally rely on the message of the Prophets, who include a long line of all the Biblical Prophets including Abraham, Moses and Jesus and then the last and final Prophet - the Blessed Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them all).

    Sahih Bukari
    Volume 7, Book 70, Number 573:
    Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
When Allah's Apostle was on his death-bed and in the house there were some people among whom was 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, the Prophet said, "Come, let me write for you a statement after which you will not go astray." 'Umar said, "The Prophet is seriously ill and you have the Qur'an; so the Book of Allah is enough for us." The people present in the house differed and quarrelled. Some said "Go near so that the Prophet may write for you a statement after which you will not go astray," while the others said as Umar said. When they caused a hue and cry before the Prophet, Allah's Apostle said, "Go away!" Narrated 'Ubaidullah: Ibn 'Abbas used to say, "It was very unfortunate that Allah's Apostle was prevented from writing that statement for them because of their disagreement and noise."

Your spiritual journey goes hand in hand with physical cleanliness. Islam always prescribes that you stay in a state of purity. For every prayer five times a day, perform ablution and cleanse yourself. Refresh your soul. Experience the calm and serenity which follows it. If you had a wet dream or an intercourse with your spouse, take a shower and wear clean clothes. The Prophet said that if it was not hard for his nation, he would have prescribed for them brushing of teeth before every prayer.

Siraj Mohamad Momin Allaah revealed in the Qur'an what means "There is nothing like Allaah in any way whatsoever." The Prophet, peace be upon him, said what means, "Allaah existed eternally and nothing else existed", and our Master ^Aliyy, the Companion and cousin of the Prophet said what means, "Allaah existed and there was no place, [and after place was created], Allaah now still exists without a place." Allaah exists without a place. Saying can you check when the Prophet went to the place that Allaah was in, is kufr. The one who said that needs to become a Muslim by saying the Shahaadah while believing in it.

He didn't said that people forgot. He said Muhammad S.A.W didn't came for the prayer on the fourth night so that it doesn't becomes obligatory for them. Umar R.A remembered. When he saw people praying separately, he once again asked them to become a group and lead the prayer. So it didn't became a Farz but it was a sunnah which Umar R.A revived. He said people stopped praying Taraweeh in Usman's R.A time.

If you are talking about religious books, then yes, Sahih Bukhari is the most authentic book after Quran. But don't ever try to compare them. Quran is the official word of Allah. Sahih Bukhari is the contribution of a Muslim who collected ahadith from thousands of Muslims and only written those whose chain of narration could not be doubted even 1%. Like if he heard the hadith from one person, and that person heard from this person, and she heard from that man, and he heard from this sahabi, and he heard from that sahabia, if anyone of them had bad memory, or were found to be less truthful in their matters, or any of that, Imam Bukhari would not write that hadith in his Book. His book's name is Sahih Bukhari. Imam Bukhari memorised about 3 lac hadiths. He wrote only about 7275 of them and excluding those which are repeated, the number is 2230. So he wrote 2230 unique ahadith and didn't wrote any which he could even doubt the slightest from the chain of narrators. This is why Sahih Bukhari is considered the most authentic hadith book by all scholars and the most authentic book after Quran because of the scientific method used by Imam Bukhari to keep it free from doubts by keeping it free from doubtful ahadith, even if the doubt was 1% or 10%.

Marriage is bliss. It is an act of virtue. We as Muslims celebrate this gift of God. It is not a taboo in Islam, like in Christian and Hindu traditions which see marriage as something lowly. A man and a woman come together to build a family and be companions for life. Marriage is not all about sex. It is an intellectual partnership too.

his explanation of biddah contradicts his own statements. The concept of biddah is that there must be no biddah in 'usool(principles)' of religion and every biddah in it is bad. However, in 'aamal(acts)' there are both good and bad biddah. Good biddah are such as compilation of Quran, translation and using symbols in Quran, building areas of wuzu in mosques, reciting Quran on special days specifically, creating new trusts and societies for dawah and public welfare, meelad un Nabi saw, reciting Fatiha over food for Barakah and much more.

Water is the best purifying agent. It refreshes the mind and the body and elevates the soul. Just as water is essential for our physical being, so too in the Divine Law, it plays an important role in the spiritual well being of a person. Just try not to take a shower for a week and see the effect on your inner being. If your heart is still alive, you would feel it. This is all experiential knowledge. The Blessed Prophet has said - “Cleanliness is half the faith”.

While in Mecca, he was heavily persecuted and at the time of the marriage, his tribe was under Abu Lahab, his avowed enemy - so there was no protection from the tribe too. Aaisha’s parents were more than happy with her marriage. In Medina, while he was the ruler there, he did not marry any other virgin lady. If he was so corrupt (may God forbid), we would have narrations of him marrying many more young girls.

It is from the teachings of the Prophets that every man has an evil entity attached to him which provokes him to commit foul acts. A man is prone to two way attack - one from his base desire or the evil inclination of his soul and the other from the Satan who is attached with every man. This Satan is not to be confused with Lucifer/Iblees; of course Lucifer is the head of them all.

From At-Tabari we learn that 'Umar and Talha together ,with some of the Muhiijirin and Ansar, ran away from the field and were sitting on a rock, when someone called out that Muhammad had been killed. Anas ibn Al-Nadr went up to these persons and asked them why they were sitting there. The men on the rock replied that Muhammad (P) had been killed, and expressed their wish that there had been somone who would go to 'Abdallah ibn 'Ubbai, a Munafiq at Medina, and request him to intercede with Abu Sufyan and get an amnesty for them (4)

    Narrated 'Urwa:
That he was informed by `Aisha, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went out in the middle of the night and prayed in the mosque and some men prayed behind him. In the morning, the people spoke about it and then a large number of them gathered and prayed behind him (on the second night). In the next morning the people again talked about it and on the third night the mosque was full with a large number of people. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came out and the people prayed behind him. On the fourth night the Mosque was overwhelmed with people and could not accommodate them, but the Prophet (ﷺ) came out (only) for the morning prayer. When the morning prayer was finished he recited Tashah-hud and (addressing the people) said, "Amma ba'du, your presence was not hidden from me but I was afraid lest the night prayer (Qiyam) should be enjoined on you and you might not be able to carry it on." So, Allah's Apostle died and the situation remained like that (i.e. people prayed individually). " Sahih al-Bukhari 2012
who has misconception ? In PROPHET SAAW life span 1 time 3 nights people (sahaba r.a) did stand behind him, and 4 day prophet of Allah did not come to mosque and did not let them to continue.

Say for example some women in USA do not wear abaya, and suddenly after hidaya they start wearing so shall we say what an excellent bida'h? Sorry Mr zakir Naik you failed to support this argument because truth shall triumph! Tarawi is bida'h and it's for sure. Prophet Muhammad s.a.w never started tarawi, its even their in that hadith and he scolded those people and said tahajjud should be prayed at home not in congregation. Mr Naik you also supported hadith which is in favour of tarawi which is saying that prophet Muhammad s.a.w used to pray tarawi, so that hadith and this hadith contradict with each other. Both are going in opposite direction. This means that bukhari itself isn't 100% sahi. There is only Qur'an which is 100% original and no one can change it but Allah has not taken any guarantee of bukhari or Muslim. Do you know that bukhari was compiled after 300 years of demise of prophet Muhammad s.a.w? Do you know how much is 300 years? When someone speak something or record something it changes after just one day, so how is it possible to collect 100% sahih details of hadith? Can't there be any fabrication? But no one use their mind as they have been taught to not to ask questions, but Allah says ask questions and try to find out the truth. We should try to go for truth, but not be blindfolded to believe anything except Qur'an.

Ashhad Kalam Sorry akhi but you misunderstand the hadith. It's not talking about anyone who "revives a sunnah (of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم), rather "sunnah" here refers to general practice.
We know this because later in the hadith it also talks about "bad sunnah" and no sunnah of our Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم is a bad sunnah. Therfore the word "sunnah" here is used in the linguistical sense, meaning "practice/act"

Zoro Roronoa This is the exact topic under discussion:
Jareer ibn 'Abdullaah al-Bajali (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'Whoever starts a good thing and is followed by others, will have his own reward and a reward equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their reward in any way. Whoever starts a bad thing and is followed by others, will bear the burden of his own sin and a burden equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their burden in any way.'" (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no. 2675. He said, This is a saheeh hasan hadeeth)
There is a story behind this hadeeth, which will explain what "whoever starts a good thing" means. Imaam Muslim reported this story from Jareer ibn 'Abdullaah, who also narrated the hadeeth itself. He said: "Some people from the Bedouin came to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), wearing woollen garments. He saw that they were in bad shape and in desperate need, so he urged the people to give them charity. They people were very slow to respond, and it could be seen in his face (that he was upset). Then a man of the Ansaar brought a package of silver, then another came, and another and another, and his face was filled with joy. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'Whoever starts a good thing in Islam, and others do likewise after him, there will be written for him a reward like that of those who followed him, without it detracting in the least from their reward. Whoever starts a bad thing in Islam, and others do likewise after him, there will be written for him a burden of sin like that of those who followed him, without it detracting in the least from their burden.'" (Reported by Muslim, no. 1017)
so its clear its all about Starting something good initially to inspire others to do so.Just like the context of hadith.

Here are some things i have to say about this hadith:
That taraweh salah was already there at the time of Rasulullah (Salalahu Alayhi wa Ala Alihi wa Sahbihi wa Barak wa Salum), where .he (Salalahu Alayhi wa Sallam) prayed in jamaat at night in the mosque, and then he repeated this, having a greater number of people in jamaat after every day until the fourth where the mosque was more than filled with companions ready for jamaat with Rasulullah (Salalahu Alayhi wa Sallam), but he did not come.
He told the people that day after Fajr jamaat salah that the reason he did not come for taraweh is because he was worried that taraweh might become fard and his ummah cannot handle it consistently, i.e. might miss some and cause themselves sin due to missing fard ibadah.
    Sahih al-Bukhari 2012
    In-book reference : Book 31, Hadith 5
    USC-MSA web (English) reference : Vol. 3, Book 32, Hadith 229
So here, from the hadith, which is a shorter version of the full hadtih, that taraweh was already in the religion from Rasulullah (Salalahu Alayhi wa Sallam), but then it was left/ not practiced. But then, from the hadith that the video is based on, you see that it is simple revived from a companion (radyallah hu'anhu) who knew about this sunnah.
There is nothing newly invented, simply that the sunnah is revived by a companion (radyallah hu'anhu) of Rasulullah (Salalahu Alayhi wa Sallam) who gains all the reward for this and those who take from it.
Here is a hadith which talks about the revival of a sunnah/ good act:
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'Whoever starts a good thing and is followed by others, will have his own reward and a reward equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their reward in any way. Whoever starts a bad thing and is followed by others, will bear the burden of his own sin and a burden equal to that of those who follow him, without it detracting from their burden in any way.'
Here, the mentioning of 'starts a good thing' not a bid'ah, because bid'ah is a bad thing and starts, from the context, shows that it is just the first good deed from a chain of good deeds.
    And:
“Know that whoever revives my practice when it has died out after me will have a reward similar to those who act upon it without detracting from his reward in the slightest, and whoever innovates misguidance displeasing to Allah and His messenger will have a sin similar to those who act upon it without detracting from their sins in the slightest.”
Umar (radyallah hu'anhu) simply revived the sunnah and 'started' a good thing, no bid'ah, a goodly accepted deed from a dead act within the sunnah.
Also, Umar (radyallah hu'anhu) did not say simply and only say that this is a good bid'ah, rather that is some falsehood which people say out of context.
He was told that this is bid'ah, and responed by saing that if this is bid'ah then this is an excellent bid'ah. This clearly shows that there is no bid'ah but sunnah because he clearly said 'if this is bid'ah' implying that this is not, but if it were.
Also, he was speaking literally, it was just an expression of speech, saying that this is a good act that is basically new,, since it was dead, but knowing that it is not actually new but was just dead.

You criticism is just based on cultural background and no objective morality. Muhammad’s time was almost 1500 years back. Even in today’s day and age, there is so much disparity in the age of consent. In China, the age of consent is just 14 whereas in India, it is 18. In your country Cyprus, it is 17. In Germany it is 14. Whereas in Bahrain and Tunisia, it is 21 and 20 - so by their standard, many in your country could be charged.

No, Its not bidah as long as there not going against Islam. As long as you cover your body the way Shariah says then its fine.

Like the natural laws which are immutable, God’s Design of the World is such that people who have recognized God and lived their lives in accordance with His Will shall earn His Company, Favor and an immense reward for eternity. On the other hand, people who have made their base desire as their lord are damned for Hell. This is the immutable Law of God.

The Blessed Prophet had given his wives the choice to stay with him or seek a separation and not a single one wanted to leave him. That was the love they had for him. Aaisha was the one who underwent a rigorous spiritual training under him. She is the one who reported hundreds of narrations mentioning his personal life. She watched with amazement the extensive worship of Muhammad of his Lord and reported to us how he used to extol and praise God in the dark recesses of night.
