Donegan has been in this tuning since the beginning of disturbed and I appreciate it whole-heartedly....makes things much simpler when you keep the same tuning throughout.

You gotta loosen up your wrist on your picking hand more, your chords sound really odd especially at 2:10 in the chorus. It's like your wrist is anchored too much and it isn't strumming the full chord on the up or downstrokes and only the alternating octaves are ringing out depending on which direction you're strumming in. Sounds really weird.

That's the sound I aimed for. Mixing the multiple guitar tracks of the original into one, with an emphasis on the higher one
In that case you get that simply by accentuating more the upstroke than the downstroke

@@Fearskill What you tabbed though is just the main rhythm. There's a bit more going on there then just straight power chords if you really wanted to combine the multiple layers into one especially in those last 4 measures of the chorus.
The mix for this song is atrocious so I don't blame anybody for not being able to pick out all the finer details of the guitars. This is probably why all the covers I've seen for this song so far seem to interpret it very differently. Especially the pre-chorus, chorus and bridge sections, everybody plays the main riff the same as that's the only time the guitars are clear in the mix. With a mix like this, everybody is basically just taking a shot in the dark at it. They all sound close enough though I suppose.

@@ericbrown3838 So just because somebody makes a video then that means they must be playing it correct? What sense does that make?
Anybody who has experience on guitar can use their ears and can tell what he's playing is not accurate to the song in that particular part. That's all I'm saying. Constructive criticism is not a crime.
