I'm Cuban.. I lived amongst those people.. I was once one of them.. and it brings tears to my eyes that every single day Cuba deteriorates more and more. What the Cuban people need is "a break" from 65 years of tyrannical rule and failed government economic policies..! Oh yeah... and freedom would also be greatly appreciated..!

Very interesting. I stumbled onto this channel and you already answered a couple questions like can Americans visit there? I wouldn't go now. Way too muggy 🤣
I booked an Airbnb in Havana Viaja (central Havana) which is the best area to be a walking distance of everything including the tourist area and restaurants. Vedado is a nicer area but prob needs a taxi to get to the tourist areas (much longer walk) and also more difficult to find food. Also, download a VPN if you plan to book an Airbnb when you are already in Cuba. There are no issues when booking before your trip. An option might pop up on the website asking you to give a reason for your trip and you just choose "support for the Cuban people'. Visa depends on your nationality. Americans typically can buy the visa at the airport before their flight for around $90 or $100. Just google 'Cuban visa and your nationality'.
There's something about it that draws me in. It's the 1940s/1950s vibe, the colors, the vintage cars, the music that I heard in NYC growing up in Brooklyn in the '60s, childhood trips to Miami Beach when I was a little child with a similar Art Deco/vintage vibe.
I was born in Cuba and Have lived in Chicago Since 1962 , God Bless America I 'm Grate full for all those who Fought for Our Freedom , Thank God I Live in the USA.
Sou brasileira e prefiro meu país do que viver em Cuba ou que meu país se torne como Cuba. Meu país está longe de ser primeiro mundo, mas compará-lo com Cuba é no mínimo ignorância da sua parte!
If you ever visit Havana in your life time. It looks in the old section like the South Bronx in the early 1970s. The newer parts are actually quite nice think mid nineteen nineties? A blend of Scarface, meets the 1950s, meets the Godfather 2. Its an intense city I can assure you, as the street hustlers are quite persistant so if you have severe anxiety? you may want to choose one of the resort destinations
Cuba was a beautiful country when the mob ran the show. Then the US wanted Castro to come to power, so they staged a revolution. After realizing that Fidel was not their golden boy, the US embargoed Cuba, and sent it into poverty. The embargo is still in effect, mainly because of the Cuban exiles in Miami will not let the embargo be lifted.

It still looks way better than Skid row or Kensington
Wow, really? It looks better than the 2 worst places in America? Can't believe it 🙄
Do all the street shops at night close down, pack up, move everything out and then set back up next morning?
Yes.
I love cuba, I am a black woman in america, I would love to be part of the culture. poor and all.
Go move asap
Andou pelas ruas do centro de Havana tranquilamente, quase 40 minutos, filmando sem nenhum problema. Praticamente não se vê polícia nas esquinas. Quero ver fazer esse tur numa capital brasileira nessa tranquilidade...

Learn to be happy on a lower level is ok, but not in a rotting city..... it hurts to see these buildings in decay ... and many people left helpless in agony
Went this year in January. Beautiful country and people.
I was there in Jan too.

How do you do this though?
Feels like some kind of hidden camera nobody ever looks at. Image quality is pretty damn good and the sound too including stereo ambience. Is it somehow incorporated into a hat?
What type of camera did you use to shoot this movie?
Bhai Cuba wark Visa process time kitna hai
just imagine if Cuba was a free country the amount of trade between south Florida and Cuba would be fantastic
i was there in 2019

I live in Hialeah and i work with Cubans. I hear stories.
However, when I see these videos, i feel like i see peoole doing ok for themselves.
I mean they dont have alot. But they dont look as Poor as people say they are.
I would like to see more footage on what goes on day to day.
Just my 2 cents.
Great footage
What camera did you use?
Very interesting. I stumbled onto this channel and you already answered a couple questions like can Americans visit there? I wouldn't go now. Way too muggy 🤣
It’s a unique experience.
What kind of camera do you use?
It’s such a lovely place love Cuba
it was lovely way back in th 50's
Where did you get to stay and how did you obtain a visa to get in?
Yeah I can... we are visiting in Dec and booked on Expedia...no problem at all. 4:37

There's something about it that draws me in. It's the 1940s/1950s vibe, the colors, the vintage cars, the music that I heard in NYC growing up in Brooklyn in the '60s, childhood trips to Miami Beach when I was a little child with a similar Art Deco/vintage vibe.
I've been. What you're missing here is the stinking festering smell of filth in the streets.

I saw old buildings, some of which seemed uninhabited🤝
Striving, with so much still needed to be done!
Where is the best place to keep your documents, whilst staying at a hotel, The front desk safe or keep everything on your person?
Hotel room safe.

I feel so badly for all the great people of Cuba. I pray for social reform. Living in South Florida, the Cuban influence is everywhere, and I love it.
City of glamour and elegance pre 1959?? For all? Show me😅

Do you have a video of what you can't do and is illegal or frowned upon? What about things to do outside of the city?
I can make a video about that sure.
