Outstanding video! I’ve learned so much from you watching this. Your art and narrative skills are top notch. I think I finally get it! I ordered a set of prismacolor pencils. But my old eyes weren’t quite quick enough to catch the details that pen which you used on the smoke trails. Could you please publish that information? Thank you, Thom
Just a suggestion. If you don't have Malibu I suggest a washy Dark Aquamarine (1210). Seems a closer substitute.

Thank you for this video! As always, I’ve learned a lot! Through my own battle with Inktense pencils I’ve also found that blender markers meant for water based markers work well to activate the ink without an abundance of water or too much streaking. Particularly the Tombow blender markers. The tip holds up surprisingly well and somehow doesn’t dirty too much as you switch from one color to the next. I will be working to master your technique next.
You’re very welcome 🤗 Yes blender markers work well with controlling the water amount. They’re also good for activating watercolour pencils too 😁

You're very welcome Joan! Yeah the technique will work well with any colour combo. I just picked 3 blues, a dark, mid and light tone and 2 violet purples a dark and light tone. So you can swap them out with any colour combos 😁

I did the same. I tried them and didn't like them so I put them on a shelf to collect dust. I even tried selling them on Facebook marketplace 🤣 but recently I tried them again and love them. They do take lots of practice😊

Hmm I don't think I've ever tried, I'd say being an ink based medium it most likely wouldn't erase well though.
Hi Karen beautiful hun as u know I have the full set brought the 28 colours from cult pens I have not used them only in swatches the fear of stuffing up the page and u can’t fix it.. Hi Marina, yes the English version won't be available until June. I purchased the Swedish version from imusic. But you can use any book or page to recreate this look and try the technique 😁

Someone gifted me the 10 pack of neocolor ii crayons but I'm not sure what to do with the limited colors. Would you be able to do a video on how to use a limited palette and still create great backgrounds? Or if you can recommend any tutorials would be great. Do you mean the luminance pencils? I think I only have one colour along using those pencils and it'll be in Mythic World. You can search my playlists be pencils and it will show any videos filmed using those 😁
Is there any need to treat the paper? You just need a damp brush?
I didn’t treat the paper. Inktense uses very little water so I’ve never needed to prep the page first 😁🤍
I’m currently watching: Can you confirm when you colour the water with three colours do you mean the entire area should have the same amount of Inktense laid down so it’s all even?
So if I’m using 3 colours I usually split the area into thirds (this isn’t necessary though you can do more or less of a colour if you prefer it that way) then I lay the inktense down with the same pressure all over 😁
I have polychromos water colours, can I do the same
So the watercolours technique is a little different and doesn't usually look quite as smooth in the end, but you can definitely recreate and get a similar look. I will do a tutorial with watercolours soon 😁
