Great form - thanks for the upload. Would you say that there is a right-handed bias in this form? Is it (or others like it) practiced with the moves reversed? Cheers.

Great question! When I asked Ni Shrfu about this last year he said that there are no left-handed versions of the weapon forms. So there does indeed seem to be a heavy right-handed bias. In training this presents a bit of a problem as the right arm can become overdeveloped. To combat this issue I do many simple weapon drills on the left side. I also perform my basic empty hand forms with ankle weights on my wrists to encourage balance development.
doesn't look like Xing Yi, in my opinion, looks like Shaolin or something similar
Thats one of the best parts of training in Beijing, it expands your world view.
I think there is a lot of exchanging and crossover of techniques, especially in weapons stuff. That rolling motion seems like Xing Yi, moving into the persons space.
Really like the set.In a way it doesnt looks or move like Xing Yi Then you see lots of Pi,Beng,Heng,Zuan and Pao in different fashions in it.
