Pokémon back then was like a whole other world compared to now. Different voices, different attitudes, different rules and physics. Sometimes it’s nice to go back and see what we’re missing out on now but it’s also nice to be reminded what we’ve gained since then. Also remember to like and subscribe!
In the English dub , Oak says that his pizza just arrived, while in the original Japanese version, Oak says that his ramen is overcooking. Just goes to show you how times have changed; nowadays anime even in their English dub would retain the word "ramen" but in the 1990s they felt the need to Americanize a lot of references
Yeah, James is played by Ted Lewis for the first 8 episodes. Starting with episode nine he's played by Eric Stuart, who continued to play him and Brock until the end of season 8 (when basically all the VAs changed due to a different company taking over the dub).
That was indeed an Articuno! Ash just misidentified the Ho-Oh he saw as Articuno. and yes, James sounds different; Ted Lewis voiced him from Episode 2 to Episode 8 while Eric Stuart took over from Episode 9 all the way to the end of the 4Kids dub.
3:11 They actually do, in the Indigo League no less. Netflix only has Season 1, though, and that's covered in Season 2, which has the actual Indigo League.
Is Aawron serious when he says he does not know how Meowth can talk? Damn, they're gonna be sad when they find out. I'm not even a big fan of Pokémon but that's an episode I did not forget.
In the reaction to the first episode, he said he'd only seen a small handful of Indigo League episodes, and the Meowth one wasn't among the early batches.
Without the voucher it was impossible to get the bike, it cost 1 pokedollar more than you were able to carry so let's say you were able to carry 999.999 pokedollar then it cost 1.000.000.
@@FlynnTheRedhead lol i know. they forget a lot im use to it. its just funny because he literally talked about why did she pick goldeen when it cant fight out of the water and still forgot. ah great stuff thats the stuff that should be in his notes lol
hey you guys can do it I am on Pokemon Journey's series and it took me 1 year to get this point in Ash's journey. Also Aaron they do answer the question about why Meowth talks like a human but it happens before the indigo League in like episode 70 it is episode 72 in Japanese and the episode is called Go West Young Meowth. it is a really great episode.
They haven't seen all of Pokémon and they each have their own things they have seen. Kanan has seen more of the newer stuff. Like Journeys Coulson hasn't seen much of any of the shows. Aaron had seen some indigo before but never really watched much Pokémon as a whole.
I was wondering that too. Specifically Beauty and the Beach lol which did get an English dubbed version, albeit low quality since it aired once & I don't think Netflix carries it. I wonder if their editors are aware of the banned episodes and if a version of them will be reacted to.

OMG, Kanan's facial expressions are exactly like his father. Sooo cute
Don't forget to like and subscribe guys! 😂 Listen to Kanan.
The reason Meowth can talk will break your hearts when you get there

I think the reason Misty throws out Goldeen is buy more time for Ash and Pikachu to escape but he just stands there. "Just get Pikachu out of here!"
9:31 it's actually even worse than that. In gen 1 the bike cost ₽1,000,000. Meanwhile your wallet could only hold a max of ₽999,999. 🤣

With different company, you mean the Pokemon Company International?
@@KimFareseed Yup. Foundation of TPCi and 4Kids losing their dubbing license.

Kanan is the funniest child of all time

Uh... 50,000? The bike shop in Kanto demanded $1,000,000, which you literally can't even carry lol
So... how old will they be in 1200 Weeks?

They do change James' voice actor later on and for the better in my opinion😁

It get explain why Meowth can speak
Meowth taught himself to talk to impress a lady Meowth, but she just saw him as more of a freak 😭
