I’m a Montrealer. I was 8 when this went down and I remember it on the news. I had older siblings and had been hearing the Beatles Stones Dylan etc.since I can remember. This was a big thing. I still live in Montreal and I’ve yet to see the room lol
A funny note. When Nixon had Elvis in the White House to ask him about the British bands influencing kids to take drugs ,John and Yoko were in Ottawa smoking pot with Pierre and Margaret Trudeau at 24 Sussex Drive. That’s how different Canada and the USA used to be. Cheers from Montreal.
Event at Queen Elizabeth Hotel, Suite 1742, Montreal, Québec. 'Give Peace A Chance' which was recorded by Andre Perry in their Hotel Room on June 1st, 1969
“Nobody has ever given peace a complete chance. Gandhi tried it and Martin Luther King tried it and they were shot” - John Lennon Sad that John followed in their footsteps..
*"Give peace a chance"*
