This is absolutely brilliant !I just stumbled upon your channel and this is the first video I've watched, I thank you for your effort. i decided to comment because about two months ago while I was investigating the verses in the Quran that has cosmological implications, I noticed how Allah says that He created the heavens and the earth in 6 days and in other verses how the earth alone was created in 2 days,.According to modern science the age of the universe and the earth respectively is 13.8 and 4.543 billion years, if we divide 4.543/13.8 we get 0.329 we could round that one to 0.33 and if we divide 2/6 we get 0.33 !! and this is how it occurred to me that the cosmic calendar of Quran the word of Allah is consistent with modern science. I'm so happy to have found your channel, the fact that you were talking about Carl Sagan who is one of my heroes is amaziing !

In the Quran, a "day" in arabic is "yawm", and when describing the world being created in 6 days, it is not specific to "earth days". The english translation in the Quran is sometimes hard to interpret because in arabic, linguistically one word has many meanings, Which is why the Quran is unique and powerful in many ways. Indeed the Quran is a book of science and revelation, and as we make new discoveries of the cosmos, we find out it was revealed to us in the Quran many, many years ago. Amazing!

Earth was created on 31 Aug-1 Sep on cosmic calendar after the big bang on 1 Jan. S21:30 “Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? ../.” So the above verse was wrong. Plants started to grow on 20 Aug after the sun was created on 31 Aug- 1 Sep. According to S41:9-12 The universe (7 heavens) including the sun came after the plants (sustenance).

srnp0007 to simplify for you, the "original matter" in the beggining of the big bang constitutes every living thing basically. So if I were to say that the heavens and Mars were meshed together and we split them apart, that would also be correct, anything and everything all started at the same time.

It seems to demean the achievement of Carl Sagan and also serves no purpose because the comparison between what God can do and human achievement is illogical. Even if it had been introduced in Quran first, Carl Sagan is still the first to introduce it to humanity. The main argument of non-religious and atheists against Quran is that those who pick science from Quran fail to understand that the verses can be translated to.mean a variety of things. There is new physics being discovered each day and it is absurd to claim that all of it has been mentioned in Quran . Amir Khan let us assume an author wrote a book thousands of years ago claiming to know the future and stating what will happen in that book, if all is written comes true as time passes, it is a proof that that person knew what will happen in the future. Being able to prove in this day and age that so many of what we discover is already existing in Quran, and we do not actually realize that till we discover them, prove that Quran is written by an author that knows what others did not, it is a proof of God's existence using science.
muddybloody I didn't understand what you are trying to say, but as I understood you say that the book is written by someone who knew the future, and it must be God Himself. However I think Quran is not just a book that shows us what will happen in the future. It's purpose is to give rules and regulations according to which we must live this life. And then offcourse matters of faith as well. And some science as well. I don't think God differentiates science from other aspects of life which is why scientific info is found scattered within the verses.

I have one more conclusion regarding, Darwin’s theory, also discussed by Carl, fits the Quranic description, but an open minded approach is needed ... simply put ... the man’s physical evolution does occur in stages but the spirit and conciousness is given to the body once when it was perfected ... (Remember) when the Angels said: "O Maryam! Verily, Allaah gives you the glad tidings of a Word from Him, his NAME will be AL-MASSEEHU EESSA IBNU MARYAM, held in honor in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are brought to a vicinity of Allaah."
There is a major difference between what Carl Sagan did and what is being claimed about the Quran. Carl Sagan stated the real age of the universe and then explained that IF you scaled that period down to one year then you got the various observations he made ( first life September 21st etc) The Quran does not state the true age of the universe and does not make any mention of scaling down the period to make it easier to understand. The Quran simply says the universe was made in 6 days and that is simply not correct.
Time is relative according to the Qur'an. There are multiple verses that I can quote to prove it. Because the relativity of time exists as a concept in the Book, you can't just say that "a Day" is literally just 24 hours.
No it says 6 days. But since the Qur'an has the concept of time dilation, then these 'days' do not refer to earth-time. They refer to something else. In other words; the creation of the universe takes six days from a certain point of view. From that perspective, 6 days passed, whereas for us that same time-period means 13,7 billion years. Since the Qur'an says that the earth was created after 4 days had passed, then this means that the earth is in existence for 2 days out of 6, which gives you a ratio. This ratio is true for all observers in the universe. For instance, there can be an observer elsewhere in the universe for whom the universe is 3 billion years old. That age corresponds to the 6 days, as well as to our 13,7 billion years, which means that from their perspective, the earth is 1 billion years old. This is due to kinetic time dilation. If the Qur'an said that the universe is 13,7 billion years old, then this might have been true for us, but it would not be true for other observers in the universe. The ratio, however, is true for all observers, no matter the clock rate. So for example, you said: "The Quran simply says the universe was made in 6 days and that is simply not correct." This statement of yours, while I understand your reasoning, is actually flawed. The universe can be 6 days old, depending on where you are. It can be 13,7 billion years, or 3 billion years, it all just depends on where the observer is. But the point here is that whatever age you ascribe to it, they all correlate. If you were put on the moon 4,5 billion years ago, and you had been keeping time on the moon for 4,5 billion years, then right now, the amount of time that would've passed for you would be 3 hours more than the 4,5 billion years measured with a clock on earth. The smaller the mass, the faster the clock runs. In reality though, you'd still be co-existing with the earth, so you're not 3 hours in the future, it's just that your gravitational field causes you to experience time slightly different. The Sagan analogy only works for observers from earth. Elsewhere in the universe, his measurement wouldn't hold up, whereas the Quranic ratio does in fact remain intact, no matter the location of the observer. I hope this makes sense to you and clears up the confusion.
The only place I can think that 13.7 billion years would seem like 6 days is very close to the event horizon of a black hole. That seems to be a strange location to choose to describe the creation of the universe.
It would have to be an enormous mass, yes. The Qur'an seems to link it to the Throne of God, which is a separate creation. But I honestly don't know for sure, so that's really all I can say about it.

Nice work :), to add that god showed in Quran explicitely that the word "day" has different cosmic calendars, each calendar corresponding to a specific event. it's what you can read from: "He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count." or also another calendar " The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years. " As you can see, each event corresponds to a specific "day" which corresponds to another number of days on earth and the purpose of that is to show a certain cyclicality which is related to an unknown cycle that we can't understand while giving us an analogy from the earthly day's cycle that our brains understand. Sometimes a day is 1000 years, sometimes 50000 years of what we count as humans and up to billions of years like with the 6 days. To keep in mind that time happens slowly in our material world while we can't know how time works (if any) in the unseen world or even near a black hole in our seen world.

To be honest this is just conjecture, albeit intelligent. The Qur'an (and the Bible) say the earth was created in six DAYS, not in a calendar where 6 days represent the whole of creation from start to our day. Most people laugh at the Biblical notion of creating the world in 6 days.

Kamadev88, You are indeed right when you say that the bible says that the creation of earth has been done by god in 6 days (our 24 hours days) as it mentions a morning and an evening. However, the explanation of the Quran is different. In fact, the arabic word "Yawm" translated day means two things : a day or a period. You can go and check in an arabic dictionary, this word is used for both its meaning in arabic. In the Quran, morning and evening is not mentioned as it is scientifically and islamically wrong. As a matter of fact, never did scientists say that the earth could not have been created in 6 periods. They, in fact, said that is was very probable. I hope you will do your own researched and understand that these are not conjectures but fact. Hope you the best :)

The english translation in the Quran is sometimes hard to interpret because in arabic, linguistically one word has many meanings, Which is why the Quran is unique and powerful in many ways. Indeed the Quran is a book of science and revelation, and as we make new discoveries of the cosmos, we find out it was revealed to us in the Quran many, many years ago. Amazing!

She chose read the verse from S 41:10-12 . Let’s read it from S41:9-12
S41:9 SI Say, "Do you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days and attribute to Him equals? That is the Lord of the worlds."
S41:9 Yusuf ali Say: Is it that ye deny Him Who created the earth in two Days? And do ye join equals with Him? He is the Lord of (all) the Worlds.
Why did she say 4 days instead of 2 days? Because she included the sustenance on earth. That’s was her mistake. S41:9 asks , “Are you going to deny or disbelieve that Allah created earth in 2 days?”
Let's read the sustenance (water, vegetation etc) in verse 10.
S41:10 Pickthall : “He placed therein firm hills rising above it, and blessed it and measured therein its sustenance in four Days, alike for (all) who ask;”
From her cosmic calendar, it confirms that earth and sun were not joined as one entity. Earth was created on 31 Aug-1 Sep on cosmic calendar after the big bang on 1 Jan.
S21:30 “Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? ../.”
So the above verse was wrong.
Plants started to grow on 20 Aug after the sun was created on 31 Aug- 1 Sep. According to S41:9-12 The universe (7 heavens) including the sun came after the plants (sustenance).

It seems to demean the achievement of Carl Sagan and also serves no purpose because the comparison between what God can do and human achievement is illogical. Even if it had been introduced in Quran first, Carl Sagan is still the first to introduce it to humanity. The main argument of non-religious and atheists against Quran is that those who pick science from Quran fail to understand that the verses can be translated to.mean a variety of things. Amir Khan let us assume an author wrote a book thousands of years ago claiming to know the future and stating what will happen in that book, if all is written comes true as time passes, it is a proof that that person knew what will happen in the future.
Being able to prove in this day and age that so many of what we discover is already existing in Quran, and we do not actually realize that till we discover them, prove that Quran is written by an author that knows what others did not, it is a proof of God's existence using science.

I didn't understand what you are trying to say, but as I understood you say that the book is written by someone who knew the future, and it must be God Himself. However I think Quran is not just a book that shows us what will happen in the future. It's purpose is to give rules and regulations according to which we must live this life. And then offcourse matters of faith as well. And some science as well. I don't think God differentiates science from other aspects of life which is why scientific info is found scattered within the verses.

There is no such prophet as Prophet "Jesus"
إِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلائِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِنْهُ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيهًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
Quraan 3:45. (Remember) when the Angels said: "O Maryam! Verily, Allaah gives you the glad tidings of a Word from Him, his NAME will be AL-MASSEEHU EESSA IBNU MARYAM, held in honor in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are brought to a vicinity of Allaah."
There is a major difference between what Carl Sagan did and what is being claimed about the Quran. Carl Sagan stated the real age of the universe and then explained that IF you scaled that period down to one year then you got the various observations he made ( first life September 21st etc) The Quran does not state the true age of the universe and does not make any mention of scaling down the period to make it easier to understand. The Quran simply says the universe was made in 6 days and that is simply not correct.
Time is relative according to the Qur'an. There are multiple verses that I can quote to prove it. Because the relativity of time exists as a concept in the Book, you can't just say that "a Day" is literally just 24 hours.
XaeedSo what the Qur'an says is that God created the universe in an undefined period of time?
No it says 6 days. But since the Qur'an has the concept of time dilation, then these 'days' do not refer to earth-time. They refer to something else. In other words; the creation of the universe takes six days from a certain point of view. From that perspective, 6 days passed, whereas for us that same time-period means 13,7 billion years. Since the Qur'an says that the earth was created after 4 days had passed, then this means that the earth is in existence for 2 days out of 6, which gives you a ratio. This ratio is true for all observers in the universe. For instance, there can be an observer elsewhere in the universe for whom the universe is 3 billion years old. That age corresponds to the 6 days, as well as to our 13,7 billion years, which means that from their perspective, the earth is 1 billion years old. This is due to kinetic time dilation. If the Qur'an said that the universe is 13,7 billion years old, then this might have been true for us, but it would not be true for other observers in the universe. The ratio, however, is true for all observers, no matter the clock rate.
So for example, you said: "The Quran simply says the universe was made in 6 days and that is simply not correct."
This statement of yours, while I understand your reasoning, is actually flawed. The universe can be 6 days old, depending on where you are. It can be 13,7 billion years, or 3 billion years, it all just depends on where the observer is. But the point here is that whatever age you ascribe to it, they all correlate. If you were put on the moon 4,5 billion years ago, and you had been keeping time on the moon for 4,5 billion years, then right now, the amount of time that would've passed for you would be 3 hours more than the 4,5 billion years measured with a clock on earth. The smaller the mass, the faster the clock runs. In reality though, you'd still be co-existing with the earth, so you're not 3 hours in the future, it's just that your gravitational field causes you to experience time slightly different. The Sagan analogy only works for observers from earth. Elsewhere in the universe, his measurement wouldn't hold up, whereas the Quranic ratio does in fact remain intact, no matter the location of the observer. I hope this makes sense to you and clears up the confusion.
The only place I can think that 13.7 billion years would seem like 6 days is very close to the event horizon of a black hole. That seems to be a strange location to choose to describe the creation of the universe.
It would have to be an enormous mass, yes. The Qur'an seems to link it to the Throne of God, which is a separate creation. But I honestly don't know for sure, so that's really all I can say about it.

Almighty Allah says we will show them signs /mericals in the horizons and within them selves..And this is why great holy quraan is the book of challenges to every one if they can find out in it any errors or mistakes ...so for non believers and those who are in doubts in the cridibilty of quraan therefore still the challenge of quraan is still stand still since 1500 years.

Nice work :), to add that god showed in Quran explicitely that the word "day" has different cosmic calendars, each calendar corresponding to a specific event. it's what you can read from: "He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count." or also another calendar " The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years. "
As you can see, each event corresponds to a specific "day" which corresponds to another number of days on earth and the purpose of that is to show a certain cyclicality which is related to an unknown cycle that we can't understand while giving us an analogy from the earthly day's cycle that our brains understand. Sometimes a day is 1000 years, sometimes 50000 years of what we count as humans and up to billions of years like with the 6 days. To keep in mind that time happens slowly in our material world while we can't know how time works (if any) in the unseen world or even near a black hole in our seen world.

The Qur'an (and the Bible) say the earth was created in six DAYS, not in a calendar where 6 days represent the whole of creation from start to our day.
Most people laugh at the Biblical notion of creating the world in 6 days.
nobody should laugh. there are common things between Quran and Bible and Later proved by science which implies that revelations came from the supreme God. No human could have fabricated or written such accurate fiction
Did you not here the clear verses being more accurate than the academic ? what about every other scientific fact the quran states clearly in verses that is compared to what cutting edge scientific instraments have recently only discovered. You are indeed right when you say that the bible says that the creation of earth has been done by god in 6 days (our 24 hours days) as it mentions a morning and an evening.
However, the explanation of the Quran is different. In fact, the arabic word "Yawm" translated day means two things : a day or a period.
You can go and check in an arabic dictionary, this word is used for both its meaning in arabic. In the Quran, morning and evening is not mentioned as it is scientifically and islamically wrong.
As a matter of fact, never did scientists say that the earth could not have been created in 6 periods. They, in fact, said that is was very probable.
I hope you will do your own researched and understand that these are not conjectures but fact. Hope you the best :)
