Excellent way of mounting cheek, tail and chin turret guns.
That cockpit really supprised me as to how well it turned out.
Have this one in my stash and really appreciate all of your insight into remedies for kit problems.

Just a tip for your views is that when you install the interior sections to the left side of the fuselage, be careful to align the section to the halfway line on the bottom of the fuselage.
If you just put them in all the way as I did it is hard to get all the joint seems to close up.

I in served the .50 cals with uv glue. I’ve left all the barrels off to be place absolute last. Really a pain the butt kit.

Adding interior lights helps show interior detail a lot. The difference you could say is like night and day. hahahahha if you didn't put the waist windows in and left it open, obviously the interior detail in that area could be seen much better. Those couple of things really do help the visiability of interior detail. All but the tail gunners area. A light might help but the area really isn't big enough. Bomber kits can be very frustrating sometimes. We all want to detail the hell out of the interior but all that work is very hard to see.

I have the same swirls in the windscreens on both of my kits. Yay..

I’m having such trouble getting my fuselage to close well. The upper join is fine. The lower join is going to need a lot of putty unless I can fix it. I have sanded a few edges of the internal bulkheads which helps a little. Would appreciate any advice.

Greetings. I have not purchased this kit yet but plan to very soon. I really like your method of dealing with the guns in the nose. Have never seen a 1mm magnet. Can you lead me to your source ? I can already think of many uses for them in my own builds. Thanks much - you are a huge inspiration to a lot of us wannabe master modelers.

I noticed Sprue Bros. just released the always interesting detail sets from Eduard on Wed. the 29th for this kit. You'd pay all that money to detail say the waist gunner section, and absolutely never see it. Looks like they include a better mount for the M2's and the sling supports they hang from Everything else would be hidden in the cave though, behind those distorted windows. Only fix I see for those windows would be to build your own from clear plastic sheet, or try and vacuform a new one. God knows how you'd do any complex curves on anything that wasn't flat like the windscreens. If you could 3D print a template, for say the nose, then vacuform around that. Hmmm.....

Enjoying your build so far! Without teaching you to suck eggs, if you're going to use Perfect Putty on the gap on the windscreen transparency I would suggest you add some black/dark grey to it to prevent the white colouring of the putty being visible?

It's far enough back of the windscreen framing that I'm not super concerned about it.

What kind of tape is that you're using to keep the fuselage halves together? Looks like medical tape. Any reason in particular you use it?

Washi tape. Very similar to Tamiya tape. Some would contend it's identical but I find the properties very slightly different between the two. But they're so close that it's great for the non-masking tasks like test-fits since you can get a dozen rolls on Amazon for the price of one Tamiya roll.

Doug.......speaking of "Shut up compressor!".......may I ask what brand of compressor you use?

I had a Grex - that was the chatty one. It died last year, so now I'm using this one and so far am very happy with it. spraygunner.com/tooty-airbrush-compressor-by-no-name-brand/

have fun when you get to the ball turret. very poor method of construction. even poorer inutructuction as to how the darned thing mounts in the fuselage. JUST AN ARROW POIINTING IN THE ROUGH DIRECTION! ARRRRGGGHHHH
