As a Rite of Passage, I feel like EVERYONE needs to work in retail, waitressing, or something serving the public. It’s humbling and you gain an understanding and appreciation for those professions. As a teacher, I can’t fathom how bus drivers (my mom!) deal with middle schoolers!

My husband has been a firefighter for 14 years and he has all his shirts from the academy and they are a tad bit worn out but so so comfy!!! I feel like they are the best sleeping shirts. 😊
I would suggest a snake plant on a stand for that corner. It doesn’t require much light and is easy to care for! You could also do a hanging plant like a pothos. Amazon has plant hanger brackets you can hang on the wall or you can put a hanger in the ceiling.

We have been married 29 years and dated for 5 years before. His favorite soft thread worn, stained, to large, were thrown away this year. I have yet to get him to toss out the t-shirts. Don’t even get me started on flannels and sweatshirts!!! Gotta love them.
My husband also keeps shirts until they literally fall apart. Holes, stained, bleached no problem! Oh and in the past 10 years he’s purchased exactly two new shirts lol

My husband would never get new clothes if I didn’t make him or buy them for him. We are doing family pictures this weekend and he needed some new jeans that fit him properly so we went to old navy when they were having their sale on jeans last weekend. We found two pairs that looked good on him and he was fighting me on getting both even though we didn’t need both for pictures. The second pair cost $8. Brand new $40 jeans for $8. Can’t beat a good deal like that!
My son is like that. He will not go buy new clothes. A couple of years ago my daughter and I were buying him clothes for Christmas and we said we were his fashion consultants. I told him the other day a small men's clothing store near us had some decent sweats and casual long sleeve shirts on clearance. He said he will check it out but I'm doubtful. Unless I force him to go with me or just buy the clothes for him he will not go clothes shopping. His 28th birthday is in about a month and my daughter and I have already planned on getting him new clothes for his birthday and Christmas.
Yup, my hubby has a few of these worn out shirts. He usually reserves them for when he's working in the yard. He had more but I'm trying to slowly get rid of them one by one.

Love the vintage Sublime shirt! I would buy that on Poshmark in a second if I saw it - holes and all. I’m from Long Beach, CA and I love that it says that! Sadly I saw them perform shortly before Bradley the lead singer died and he couldn’t even get through any songs because he was drugged out of his mind. Love them though and I’m glad they are getting repped all the way out in Iowa.
The blue spray will leach after sweat hits it. You could try locking it in with a humidity shield spray? I know that sounds mild but it will stain his skin and clothes and it burns when it hits your eyes.
I was watching a Paula Deen video and she and her stepdaughter, Michelle, we’re making Crab Cakes and she did them in the air fryer. She said the same thing that the cakes fall apart more in the skillet. I love the pictures over the bed, very nice. I love steaks. I made a Ribeye Steak dinner for my birthday last month with Au-gratin Potatoes, salad, a nice glass of wine and Sanders Bumpy Cake. It is a Fudge Roll Cake, Sanders was a well known family run company in the Detroit area in the 1960’s . They have since gone out of business but sold the rights and recipes to other companies. You might be able to order it from Amazon, not sure. In SE Mi several local grocery stores like Meijer sells it. It’s worth it to try if you can find it. I will be getting one for the Christmas holidays.
Nalgene bottles is what I know. Hey, hint=better to get ladder, dust tag & Pledge for the ceiling fans. Practice to swipe as gathering all dust. Then, put in washer & done. B/C I saw lots fall to floor so You’ve made another chore to vacuum my Friend ;)
I do all laundry in the house, so ALL clothes with holes leave … I replace with clothes which have no holes. When asked if I know where x article of clothing is, I can truthfully state, no idea! Now, the clothes that don’t fit which don’t get through the laundry but hang in the closet unworn, I can’t fix that!
Just wanted to tell you I use the pilot V7 and V5 and I LOVE THEM!!! I have a few nurses that I work with that are self proclaimed pen snobs and they have threatens to take them from me because they love them also worth the price!

I haven’t been to Walmart recently, but somebody was complaining about the receipt thing on social media . He said he refused to show his receipt. You don’t have to show it . Only at Costco or Bj.s are you required because they are private clubs. You can politely decline to show your receipt at Walmart.
I have a friend that I graduated high school with that had her daughter our senior year. Well, about two, maybe three years ago, her daughter had a baby boy. I congratulated them, and then commiserated with her that it didn’t feel like we were old enough to be grandparents.

Have you ever tried the fish cakes with crab meat or imitation crab? I don’t like fish (weird, I know) but I like crab cakes, just wondering if the recipe would work with that.

I have never met a man so emotionally attached to tshirts than my husband. Even though they don't fit, they are attatched to a time and place and memory - and he just can't get rid of them. So we struggle wtih storage :D
My husband is a contractor, he’s hard on his clothes but he is great about getting quality clothing and letting go of things. I mean I have to be the one asking him if I can throw it haha but he’s good about it

Yes to the tall plant … if the window next to it gets enough sun you can do a real one otherwise do a fake one! And yes to the curtains!
