Ive listened to Hip Hop my whole life and i discovered DOOM 10 years ago and he shot up to my top 5 with Tupac, K-RINO, Mos Def, ZRO, Styles P, Talib kweli etc. I'm 42. Peace King. MF DOOM does Produces Beats that alone is 🔥.
His names MF DOOM because he’s based off the Marvel character Dr Victor Von Doom and his real second name is Dumile pronounced (doom-ill-ay) The MF stands for metal face or metal fingers when he’s producing. It’s also worth mentioning he has rap alter egos for example Viktor Vaughn the teenage time travelling villain who he’s released 2 albums under, he also has another called King Geedorah a 3 headed space monster which he released an album under and also featured on an album from the group he was briefly in Monsta Island Czars. Before he came out with the character MF DOOM in the late 90s he was known as Zev love X and was in a rap group called KMD with his brother and a third member, They dropped an album in 92 and were almost finished the 2nd album but Dj Subroc (DOOMs brother) was killed after getting hit by a car, after the accident the label dropped the group and Daniel Dumile(DOOM) was left near homeless for a few years before he came back to the rap games as the super villain MF DOOM dropping Operation:Doomsday in 99, He also finished the 2nd KMD album (black bastards) and released it himself in 2000. I just yapped a whole lot but I noticed no one had told you anything about him in the comments yet.
earl sweatshirt met DOOM! Its on video lol but yeah this was a more underground dude but even when he was alive..his albums were already considered abstract hip hop classics.
