I hold my breath every time I watch one of these. It's so beautiful and technically stunning! I may not dance ballet, but a lot of these videos show finer details to techniques that are very useful in ballroom. I love it!
After taking adult ballet classes for 8 years and come back to watch these. With more Understanding of how difficult to achieve this basic movement so clean, it is more stunning to me now

Reminds me of a pas de deux beginner class 😂😆😂 where everyone’s tripping over their feet except for that one prodigy that somehow whips out 7 perfect finger turns unannounced
+allyolsen Shouldn't if the girls know how to properly do those pirouettes. They musn't grab the finger, they just close their hands around it and push a bit upwards so they can't fall.
The girl is much better than the guy, sorry to say. I think he could work on his balance -not the main factor and i understand, pirouettes are hard- and the really big mistake was the way he almost like WAITED for her to be done and to hold herand stuff. my advice, dance with her.. you'll ace your exam that way :) But amazing, both of you!
Ooo! Than you should be great at ballet if you do something harder! Maybe sign up for a nearby ballet school; you could be ABTs next principle ballerina!
uhm u arent turned out. And u are not turning on the tip of ur big toe. all of our weight is literally balanced on one toe. if u think that's easy try it . its a lot harder than u think .

I had no idea they held onto the finger of the male dancer while they turned. That's interesting...
Sometimes it's the other way round. The male dancer holds the finger of the female dancer :)

Yeah, the bad side of this is when the dancer turning begins to loose their balance. They tend to hold tight.

because its an inward turn. also called en dedan. most of the time we do them en dehore which is outward.

That's easier. I have to do that on beam bear footed and trying not to fall or split the beam or have my foot accidentally slip
