    There's a parallel universe where Victor doesn't handle the ball at all and dives, rolls, and finishes his way to a career 20 & 10, but if the Olympics have taught us anything, it 's that Wemby's love/emulation for KD's game is perhaps understated. All of us Spurs fans are starting to recognize this. Wemby wants to play like KD and ultimately, whether he ever becomes KD efficient or not, he's always going to want to handle on that wing a bit. So yeah, I'd bank on him eventually mastering either that KD dribble, hesi pull-up, both in the mid and behind the 3-point line along with some version of Dirk's fadeaway or LMA's spin move J at the elbow.
    And of course because Wemby loves the 3 (some of us think too much) some version of a step-back 3 off the dribble. He shot 41% off pull-up 3s last year, so really, if he just maintains in or around that percentage the rest of his career, improving shot selection, he'll be deadly, especially because he's such a willing passer, which will be awesome paired with a guy like Castle, who likes to bully his way into the lane and with Wemby having the shot-blocker high to contest, Castle is going to have lots of space to attack the basket.

Not only that, they were way more competitive then their 20games indicate. Its not like they were getting blown out every night. Especially to end the year, you could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Including beating the defending nba champions Denver Nuggets when they were still fighting for positioning in the playoffs.

    How you not include the Cavs at all in the top 10? Their core is still really young and all under contract for a long time. Donovan will opt out in year 2 of his 3 year extension just to sign a bigger contract. This team has improved every year and just hired a coach to fix their offensive play calling. No reason they should've been left off this list.

    Orlando over the cavs is crazy to me. Granted they took them to game 7 but they still lost. Now with a coach that knows offense, and can work with 2 small guards and maybe not next year but 2 years Mobley will be Chets kryptonite, and give wenby a harder time than most. Not to mention allowing JA to play and not stand around the rim.
    Okc getting another star with a few players and draft picks will be crazy.
    Memphis is ok, they have had so much instability that it's hard to see them fix it all in the next 1 or 2 years.

    I disagree with the take on the thunder having offensive problems by adding hart and moving Chet to the center, their minutes will be staggered enough for Chet maintain his impact as a stretch 5, and hartenstien is a great decision maker who is not going to be a detriment to Chet’s ability to score the ball, and will make a huge impact with the other guys.

    • @UtilitySports
      @UtilitySports  28 дней назад +2

      It’s about the matchups. Chet’s spacing doesn’t beat power forwards the way it does when he’s a center. Completely eliminates his value as a pick and pop/roll guy in almost every matchup except for against the Timberwolves because of how dreadful KAT is defensively
